Boric Acid Suppositories

Hello Ladies

I just wanted to share my good news. I have been a Bv sufferer for 25+ years and nothing I have tried over the years have worked. I recently tried Boric Acid suppositories. I did one week of treatments. I put them in my vagina twice a day for a week and when I say these things are a God Send. I shared some with a few other women who are also sufferers, They also said these are the best thing EVER. I urge everyone to give them a try. They really work. Go on amazon and get them for $10

    Congrats on your success! I know exactly how you feel!

    I have had BV for over a year. I have tried Flagyl pills twice, metrogel and then preventative metrogel (twice a week for months) and that failed. Finally, my urogynocologist prescribed me 600 mg boric acid capsules to insert once a day for 14 days. I am currently on day 11 and it is the best I have felt in over 10 months. I got mine from a compound pharmacy, but I see they are easy to get online as well.I have a few question for you or anyone else.

    I am due for my period. Should I finish up the 14 days or stop and restart after my period begins. Directions from my doctor are to take boric acid one a week for four months. I have read where many women have had success taking three days of boric acid after their periods (to rebalance the ph) and then twice a week ongoing. What are your thoughts?

    I am so praying that they continue to work. My symptoms of BV were different as there was just a strong ammonia smell, lower urethra pressure/burning and urinary frequency. I have been tested for everything (including ureaplasma) and always come back with gardnella bv. I am residing to the fact that my BV is chronic and I have to watch my sugar intake, continue with my plethora of probiotics and take boric acid ongoing...

    Wishing your continued success on the boric acid!!! I am perimenopausal and this all started when my peri symptoms kicked in as well.

      Thank You so much for your well wishes and i'm so happy you are finally getting some relief as well. As far as using the boric acid while on your period im not certain because I haven't had a period in over 20 years because I had a hysterectomy but maybe one of the other ladies can help with your question.       yes I'm from the UK and I brought similar product balance active suppositories or we call them pesserys.

      I'm on day 3 and all good .

      everyone should try suppositories if they haven't tried yet .

    so happy to hear that it worked for you! I've been having BV for over 3 yrs now and tried everything and nothing has worked out so far... it's making me depressive and i don't know what to do any more

    as long as put boric acid capsules in my vagina the foul smell is gone but as soon I stop using it all the systems come back right away... i went to the doctors and she that my PH is normal and that there is imbalance/ infection. I did the test myself multiple times and it always said that my PH is normal but why are the systems foul smell and watery/ yellow discharge there when it indicates that my ph is normal?

      to add I know my luck it will more than likely come back until I'm a month a clean and had a period I will not celebrate.

      if I have to put these suppositories up every day I will .

      Yes im very similar. Nothing has ever worked for me except for the boric acid. The minute I stopped doing them it immediately came back. im at a point where I just want to do them everyday no matter what.

    hi I ain't out of the woods yet lol I bloody wish I was though .

    I'm on day 6 but my bv was so severe its kept me indoors for the last 6 months as it got worse .

    it's been 4 years since I was my old self I have not dated and i couldn't.

    I'm spending a fortune this week alone I've now spent £80 .00

    I dont know if i asked you already but where are you at ?

      I really hope it gets better for you. I have been suffering for more than 20 years and nothing work but these suppositories. I live in Cleveland Ohio
