Both ankles and left femur

Hi guys,

background info to follow after a quick introduction. I'm currently in my 40's and have suffered from pain (not discomfort) for the last few years. I came to this site as a matter of last resort prior to seriously considering the surgery route to relieve the pain.

I fell 200ft and landed on my feet but destroyed them, my femur and lower spine in the process. Fortunately now I am hobbling. The result was a very long stay in hospital, rods in my femur and both ankles plated. That was in 2010.

The main intricacies of my issues are;

1.  A dark spot directly over one of my screws on my ankles.

2. Excruciating pain, swelling, and blueness on both ankles after 1hr standing/50yd shuffle.

3. Effects of Pregablin (Max 600mg dose per day) has lessened during the past 2yrs.

4. I'm at my wits end in trying to find a solution to manage my needs, lifestyle and desires having been a very active individual prior to 2010. I have practically accepted the fact that the ageing process has wiped out my chances at being the next James Bond but some sort of normality would be good.

im not a winger and have a can do attitude but I'm stumped for answers now. Surgery to remove the plates in my ankles are the last resort unless someone can offer up a solution? Hellppp!!!
