Botox in 2 days

Hello,
Im new here, im getting BOTOX in 2 days. After reading all the comments im terrified. I've been dealing with the horrific pain of this fissure for a year now (insurance issues), anyhow im in horrific pain... im wondering if i should just go with the other option of surgery that was given to me? Originally i opted not to because of the 7 months of incontinence but now im feeling like im going to end up needing that after reading these comments.
Also, can someone tell me what was the prep before the surgery?
i dont understand why i meed to fast all day and take tons of miralax and dulcolax all day that will have me going to the bathroom all day (obviously cuz the pain is horrendous and i bleed so badly) if its just 2 shots that im getting.
thanks

hi
im guessing so its not too messy for the surgeon. Who said you would have 7 months of incontinence? That cant be known for sure. Chances are u wont. Botox Was a big waste of time for me , I had LIS surgery soon after. good luck hope it heals either way

some people do good with Botox.
somewhat less intense that surgery.
i did Botox then surgery 1 month later.
the prep was for the surgery and not for Botox injection.

hi,
I’ve been on this site for well over one year now and I’m yet to hear one person tell of a completely successful Botox cure..Therefore it is my understanding it’s a complete waste of time!!

I certainly did a bowel prep for Botox treatment but I don’t know why either...

hi T007
I hope it works for you, but if not, at least you will get two days pain free due to the painkilling needles as i did. there is absolutely nothing to worry about with Botox and no pain from the procedure whatsoever. I liked being put under a general
anaesthetic as it gave me a pain free 2 days!!

hi, i have had a fissure for a year. recently had botox, hasn't worked yet for me. I will probably need another round.
i didn't have to do any prep before botox .

botox tends to heal shallow fissures that are less than 6 months old
(although i've heard stories of those with 2 year old fissures healing with botox)
LIS is much needed for chronic and deep fissures
