Bottom of foot tingles

Posted , 3 users are following.

Broke my fibula 2 weeks ago. The ankle itself is not bothering me but yesterday the bottom of my foot is tingling and really annoying! I keep tightening and loosening the boot and nothing is working.

I can move all my toes and my foot is not numb.

Thanks!

i want to say its the nerves at the bottom of the foot cause your not able to walk on it yet . whenever you start rehabbing use a tennis ball and roll the bottom of the foot over the ball to help with the tingling and feeling of needles at the bottom of foot

Did you have surgery? A lot of the medications they give during or post op have a side effect of nerve tingling, numbness, phantom feelings, ect. Gabapentin or its equivalents are a big cause and usually starts when you stop taking it. Some narcotic pain relief has also been associated with tingling or numbness but it usually occurs while you are taking it.

I broke my fibula and tibia and the 2nd worst part of it was the side effects from the medications. (The worst part was my surgeon) The pain and swelling that was actually caused by my break, which should have been the worst was the 3rd hardest.
