Bottom Of My Foot REALLY HURTS

R Ankle Fusion 12 weeks post op.

Cast off 5 days ago, now to boot and continue to use knee walker. My Dr said I can take a few steps here and there while boot off.    Dr is impressed with my healing and is hopeful.

I have no ankle pain whatsoever - but when i take 'a few steps here and there', OMG - the bottom of my foot hurts so much when my weight is on it. Hurts so much doesn't even come close to describing the ouch.

Ouch times a million.

I know that fusion recovery is a slow beast - and I have no unrealistic expectations for my ankle's future.

BUT WHAT THE HECK IS THAT PAIN?

Stepping on 500 degree glass chips while clamps squeeze down while evil ankle gremlins snicker at me.

See Dr in 3 weeks, in the meantime it's driving me crazy not having an explanation for this.

Anyone else have the same? Hope not, but if so.... let me in on what this is. And I thank you endlessly  🙏🏻

I’m anxious to see what everyone says about this.   I am two weeks post subtalar triple fusion and I’m not sure what to expect in the next month or so.
