    hi Mary,

Sounds miserable. Are you taking stool softeners and/or laxatives as well as drinking lots and lots of water and eating a soft diet? Maybe call you doc or pharmacist to have something recommended if not already taking something to help with the bowel movements. Whatever you do, don't strain as you might make matters worse for yourself. In some ways not having a bm for few days after a hemorrhoidectomy could be a good thing.

    good luck!!

remember go in the sidz full of hot water will make having bowel movement barely even hurt...

I've been curious about having a BM in a sitz bath, how does that work? Mine is so shallow I feel like it would be so gross to poo in it! Wouldn't stool get all over your cheeks?

it's a life saver go in sidz then use shower wand to clean your self, and who cares if it gets on cheeks the goal is to go to bathroom without pain, and that's what makes it pain free...

Alternate 800 mg of tylenol every four hrs with 800 mg of motrin, this worked better then the oxycontin for me...And come 10 p.m. take a nice swig of Nyquil so you sleep a good 10 to 12 hrs

not gonna lie, its gonna be a roller coaster for 90 days, high fiber, hydration, and pain meds you'll do fine.

Try foods like oatmeal, figs, prunes, melons and soups, absolutely no breads, pasta or starch of any kind..

Before you know it you'll be on month 4 with just a case of the itchy's, that you can use a standard preperation h..

I took 10 weeks but if I had too, I believe it can be pulled off after 3 weeks...I have a job that they want you a 100% I could have taken upto 6 months, but it gets boring to be at home after such a long period of time...

that will be very tough, especially if you would have to go, I remember when I had the erdge to go only had 10 seconds.. Then again I had Hemmerectomy along with a fissurerectomy maybe what you had done has a quicker healing process, If your not feeling up to it do not go back to work,
