bowel problems sleeping on left side

hi does anyone have stomach problems sleeping on left side..could this be a simple explanation . It seems food is digested by stomach when sleeping on the left. but what if there is a more simple explanation . maybe our necks on the pillow or our ears are pressing on the Vagus Nerve. blocking signals to our organs .It seems the Left Vagus Nerve communicates throughout our body including the stomach & Heart. plus Peristalsis moving poo along . I don't know how to prevent it , never tried . this just a theory of mine . maybe it is just the nerves not getting through telling organs what to do . If you have ever woken up by pins needles by sleeping on your arm or a stiff neck is that what just might be happening because of pressure on the Vagus Nerve..
