Bowel side effects?

Three weeks ago, my doctor switched me from Effexor XR 75 mg to Lexapro 5 mg to start. I made the switch, overlapping the two for one week and then dropped the Effexor. I've been on 5 mg of Lexapro for two full weeks and I'm experiencing some very strange symptoms. I wake up out of a dead sleep between 6 and 7 every morning, have what feels like a panic attack and then I have to have a bowel movement. For the rest of the day, I feel like I am full of gas and terribly bloated but can't pass the gas. My bowel also aches. Has anyone experienced something similar?
