Hello everyone,
I have just been for my first Bowen Therapy session. An interesting if slightly bizarre experience. But I have to say, I think I am feeling a bit better. Is is all in my head, will it last, I am wondering? Thank you Eileen for the reccommendation. I will let you all know how it goes. Pam.

Yes - I think that probably sums up the experience when you have never been for a session before!
I struggled for years with the idea of recommending it on the forums but then a couple of other people tried it - one was very much as a last resort after being no further than between bed and loo for some 6 weeks and in major pain. The difference between walking in and leaving was obvious - and it continued to improve.
I do hope the improvement continues - if you have PMR it may not deal with it all but I found it removed a lot of pain which made what was left easier to cope with.
I have a stiff neck today and a bit of tingling in my shoulderblades - no idea what I have been doing! Maybe I need to see my lady now I have found one here...

I walked in on the arm of a friend and with a stick, one hour later I walked out without the stick and not hanging onto my friends arm. I went back for the stick. and had to go back for it.
I still don't know how it works, what I do know is it did work for me.
Well worth a try and I would urge everyone to give it a three week trial at the least.
Best money I spent in years, I go for boosters about once in three months as a 'just in case'. It also makes me feel a whole lot better. Just remember to drink the water like they tell you.

I read about them on Wiki) collect together and what Bowen does is break them up and the water washes them out.
But that was not the Bowen Therapist telling me about that theory.
I just call it White Witch Treatment.

I will be seeing the therapist again quite soon, maybe she can sort out the lumbar region of my back and possibly get me back the muscle I have lost through inactivity and 3 1/2 years of the dreaded pred. (15 mg tapering SLOWLY to 10mg now)
Blessings
Janda
