BPH inflammation and Covid Please provide insight

I recently tested positive for Covid and was moving through symptom recovery nicely when at day 3 my BPH "blew up" to a level 10 in pain and all that goes with it. I got curious and googled Covid and BPH and was surprised to see medical articles and some studies that indicate Covid can inflame enlarged prostates and effect the lower urinary track system (LUTS).

Anyone have any experience with this situation. It got to a level where I had mucus plug discharges with some of my more painful urinations.....very similar a UTI

I saw an article and video from a news station in FL that discussed how your PSA can shoot up after getting covid. The same thing happened to me. I am not suprised other symptoms of prostate issues could occur due to covid.

I had the exact same problem, although the flare up was post covid. I thought I was experiencing pain from internal hemorhoids but given my ability to urinate deteriorated, I now realise that the pain was from my enlarged prostate getting even larger.
