BPPV never-ending/I am stumped

Back in April, I woke up in the middle of the night really disoriented. I wasn't spinning, per se but I was really disorientated and dizzy. The next morning, I woke up with an extremely fuzzy head and had an attack while changing the baby. It seemed everything I did on my right side would trigger dizziness.  For example, reaching over to the passenger seat of my car to grab my wallet out of my person caused such a rush of dizziness. Sometimes, I can just turn my head to look at something and I get a 1-second anxiety rush feeling.I got this before I knew I had BPPV. I can also get it while typing on the computer or even talking. I have a feeling though because I have a slight torticollis from my childhood on the right, typing exerts force and if my head is tilted the crystals can move around ever so slightly. See, when I turn my head quickly while sitting upright, it's only like a 1-second adrenaline rush of panic because the body knows I am dizzy. I don't ever get a spinning sensation. The only time I did is when I was first going through all of this and did the Epley on myself. I spun on my right side.

Here's another question as well. When I had the "spinning" vertigo while laying down, it went away in a couple days of doing the Epley. There was also nystagmus. But now, I still get those dizzy bursts but never any spinning and there is no more nystagmus. Is this possible? Could something else be going on?

    Hi Sacolucci,

I am so sorry to hear you are suffering. Do you get BPPV attacks everyday? And have you seen your ENT again? Heavy amounts of stress can probably aggravate the symptoms. I get vertigo all the time and it goes away when i am not so stressed. Also my neck has always been tense which can cause the vertigo too because it blocks up circulation and causes an over sensitized brain stem. Sorry I can’t be of much help
