Have you thought of taking a sleeping pill before you sleep. I find this really helps

I take a detox bath. It's a mixture of Epson salt and baking soda. Then 2 magnesium calcium zinc. It stops the pain and restless legs so I can get sleep. Then in the morning I take vitamin b and d for a hint of energy to get the day going.

When the cobwebs are more persistent, I rely on my calendar. Phone set with alarm reminders, GPS navigation and record memos so I don't forget conversations if need be. Setting a routine and maintaining a schedule is helpful too. Hope this helps.

Morning Hjb; many of us have this problem, so after doing some research, I found that the Researchers have found that it appears we do not make/have enough Melatonin producing in our brain (this is the necessary hormone that takes us into our REM stage of restorative sleep), so I have been supplementing with this for over 12 months now, and no longer have this problem. ( I, too, take the extra Magnesium as stated below, for the leg cramps/spasms etc, and find this is also a necessity for Fibro sufferers).  I have found, though, that only some varieties of the Melatonin Supplements  help me, and if you would like the particular brand that works for me, you can Private Message me with the grey envelope under your name/points. (we are not allowed to give brand names etc onto the forum)....others have said that they drink plenty of cherry juice (and I also eat plenty of same when on the shelves)....Cherries are a High sourse of Melatonin.    Do some research yourself, and you may find more on this, from  new research??

I have also found a place that makes a similar version in France, so if you live in Europe, you may find this easier???.....good luck, Bron

I know exactly what you mean about the brain being stuffed with cotton wool and some days it's like trying to look through dirty wndows.

I wish I could tell you how to reduce this feeling, I would love to know myself how to do it.  x

Thanks for replies, will try suppliments and see how it goes, intrersting thought about the melatonin, i have no problems going to sleep, it's the staying awake that is difficult but if i'm not getting REM then I can see it would cause an issue. Will also try the salts as restless legs have been driving me crazy for years.

Try the magnesium too at night. I found that itshe like a muscle relaxer without that groggy hang over in the morning. You need true rem to wake up or you will have that cotton head feeling all day.

And with the gaps diet (no wheat or dairy) helped me. If i eat something I'mnot supposed too, I crash. Keep me posted as to how this works for you. I got so frustrated with the meds they were giving me. Felt like I was more in a fog on them then off plus the side effects were crazy. Couldn't handle sunlight and was jittery all the time. I spent a lot of time researching looking for anything to help.doctors at supposed pain clinics specialized in fibromyalgia were trying to charge anywhere between 18k -24k a year out of pocket. Couldnt afford it so tried my own concoction of remedies. I have good days and bad but doing better than I was. Hope you find something that helps you too.
