what is the best way to beat brain fog? and is it permanent? its been almost a month and half since ive had it!

I had it for months and the only thing that helped me was to force myself to keep doing things. I dont know if you had panic attacks but I did I was so out of it. I am much better but still have some days that I struggle with it. God Bless

Brain fog is not permanent. It is one of the side effects of anxiety and stress. Best way to get rid of it is to deal with the anxiety and stress and learn how to manage it. Speaking with a counselor can be helpful. Other ways to reduce it would be taking time out for yourself. Meditation, relaxing music, laughter, walking in nature, anything that helps calm you down . Try not to take life too seriously. I have had brain fog often on for years due to anxiety but I finally learned how to avoid it.
One thing that is the single best thing I ever did is exercise. It releases endorphins from the brain which releases stress. Exercise also helps to form new neurological connections in the brain. Have a more positive attitude is extremely helpful because you can retrain your brain. Take care

Force yourself to keep doing things and try to meditate and relax the anxiety on it's own. It sounds hokey but with commitment it can really help with practice and dedication. Brain fog will only get worse if you give in. God bless

What exactly do you feel. Is it concentration issues, bad memory, dazed, inability to retain anything you read?

The best advice I can give you is to eat right. Everything is diet, the standard American diet is not good. Load up on veggies, salads, berries, lean meats, fruits in seasons, nuts and seeds. Add spices and herbs like turmeric, ginger, cilantro,parsley. Also garlic, onions and good fats like avocado,olives, olive oil, avocado oil.
Anxiety, and all mental disorders need good nutrition and good hygiene. *Stay away from processed oils they are inflammatory and hexane is used to extract the oil.
If you must have any other oil then what was mentioned above at least make sure its expeller-pressed. Hope this helps.

Hi,
I experience Brain fog / head pressure / tension headaches pretty much every day at work or in busy environments. It tends to build through the day until I get back home and the fog slowly lifts.
Reading through this thread Jan's advice is excellent - after a day at work going for a long walk / jog or other exercise really helps to blast that brain fog away.
At the start of this year I made it an objective to try and find alternative employment as I believe my current position is causing my issues. I got to a couple of interviews but alas, due to the current world pandemic crisis have really had to out this on a back burner and maybe just be grateful to have a job and an income. Maybe next year...?

It seems environmental for sure. My office tested positive for mold and it was 10 times higher then the level found outdoors. We had no clue, just super foggy when in building. Also stressful environments can produce an array of symptoms.
