Brain fog, dizziness, vision problems, head pressure, headache PLEASE HELP

Hi everyone!
I don't know where else to go, and was hoping someone could please help me. I'll start off by saying I'm a 23 year old Caucasian female. Going on 5 months now, I have had absolutely debilitating symptoms which have hindered my daily life. I feel these symptoms every moment of every day.
It started with dizziness and a persistent brain fog. I just thought I had a bug, and tried to go on about my life. However, my symptoms have never gone away. This "brain fog" I am talking about is a feeling of complete mental confusion, I have no memory, I cannot concentrate on anything, it feels like there's a dark blanket on my brain clouding all my thoughts. I have extreme disorientation and haziness. I feel like I'm always in a dream like state.
I am constantly dizzy and feel a pulling sensation, as if I'm ready to fall over at any moment. It feels like there's air inside my head, and I'm always very lightheaded. Whenever I try to drive I feel this pulling sensation pulling me down.
Another problem I have is with my vision. I am having very blurred vision and have double vision. Everytime I look at something up close it is extremely blurry and I cannot see at all. My perception on things has completely changed. I feel like everything looks very odd and strange and I don't have the right depth perception. It's like I'm in a horrible dream like state all the time.
I have been having headaches and head pressure as well, and having horrible pains behind my eyes. The pin starts from the back of my head close to my neck and continues up my head and the sides of my temples. My eyes hurt so bad, and it feels like knives are jabbing my eyes. My head also feels extremely heavy all the time.
All these symptoms have been causing me severe anxiety, and I have been having panic attacks from them and feel like I'm dying. It is causing a strange disrespity sensation, where I feel like I'm not even here anymore and there's a detachment from myself and my body. I have had to drop all my classes at college and quit my job because these symptoms make me lay in bed all day long. I have been unable to drive for months and can barely get up to walk around. If anyone could please help me or know anything as a suggestion to try.
I have been to my general doctor, 2 ENTs, 1 neurologist, have had 2 MRIs, a hearing test, VNG, multiple blood tests, and no one knows what is wrong. I can't live like this anymore. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just wanted to tell you all that I made a big breakthrough with my symptoms yesterday. I was super brain fogged, felt like I had migraine without any headache. My neck was stiff, my eyes were kind of rolling.. I was not able to focus on anything, I was super exhausted without doing anything, my muscles were weak, my stomach felt like crap after eating a salad with pulled chicken ... and I had to go to a school celebration and meet lots of people and pretend that I am ok.... so I had no choice of taking a nap or anything to relax since I was so busy. As my last resort I took an aloe vera capsule (10000) - and .... I couldn't believe it and I still can't believe it, but after about 10-15 minutes my brain fog lifted, I was able to focus my eyes and my neck felt soft, the muscle stiffness was gone...
This actually totally supported thoughts I have had for a long time... to just eat food that calms my stomach... I should be gluten free, sugar free, dairy free... but I like to cheat on myself with chips and chocolate-nuts - but since I made this experience I will will try to stick with it now and let you know how it works... I have heard it so many times before that there is a direct gut/brain connection - all the nerves are connected and I am sure this is the source of all our problems.
I will keep you posted...

Hi, yes, and if I stick to it, I am fine..
I am eating gluten free, dairy free, no caffeine (no coffee nor tea), no alcohol, sugar free (no added sugars - fruits are fine)
So let's say I am not eating anything processed (no cereals etc.), and I am eating more fish than meat (if meat then chicken) - grilled, nothing fried, no creamy sauces just oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, low vinegar and low salt (salt makes me super dizzy)
So a day could look like this:
breakfast: smoothie: banana, baby oatmeal powder, multivitamin powder (I have a really good one with fiber), cinnamon, turmeric, coconut beverage
Snack: Apple
Lunch: salmon with potatoes and vegetables
Snack: fruits
Dinner: cooked oatmeal (with water) with fruits and some cinnamon
And I try to start my day with a glass of water, take Probiotics, fish oil, aloe vera and 500mg calcium/magnesium
and before I go to bed 500g calcium/magnesium and aloe vera again
So far so good it works fine. But I have to make sure that I drink enough water per day and that I go bed early enough (latest around 10pm) and I need to try to eat regularly and try to avoid stress situations. (get ready early enough, when driving somewhere go early enough etc.) When I am in a stress situation I have to try to control my breathing (I am always very tense... my abs are always contracted and I am never really releasing them... also my whole body is really tense even when I lay down in bed. I have to make sure that I am releasing every single muscle in my neck. It's crazy..
And I changed my sleep habit.. I usually wake up with a headache or pain in my neck and muscles every single morning... I am now sleeping on a towel roll under my neck and flat. If I roll on the side I push a pillow under head and fill the gap from the neck with it.
I also started working out to relieve the tension on my neck muscles and strengthen my back muscles. I worked with a PT and since I had three kids and were carrying them my shoulders were a little forward. Also because of sitting in the car a lot and on my computer as well. Right posture is key! My PT said that my neck muscles are taking over too much work that should actually be done by my back muscles...
I hope this helps.

Hope all is well with the baby I know it’s been a struggle for you but hang in there !
I wanted to ask you have you looked into any vestibular disorders yet? I’m asking because I had derealization in the beginning of my 4 months journey or this horrible state of mind I’m stuck in and I remember you said you had derealization also which I read someone on Facebook group chat I follow a group called derealization/depersonalization and someone told me she had vestibular migraines and dp/dr comes with vestibular disorders! I’m hoping to get tested soon for it I still haven’t seen a nueroligist yet because my insurance don’t cover one .

Hi Yolanda! His due date is September 4 so he’s coming any day now, I’m over 39 weeks!! Thank you so much for the support and encouragement ??
I have been checked for vestibular disorders that are “testable” however vestibular migraines are ones you can’t test for. It’s more of a process of elimination. It’s so hard to find a doctor that knows what they’re talking about with vestibular migraines. I had been diagnosed with vestibular migraines maybe 1 1/2 years ago, and that doctor referred me to a different specialist. The new specialist wasn’t help at all and didn’t think I’d have symptoms this long from it, but a lot of doctors will tell you that you can. Idk it’s so frustrating 😞

Aww your due any day now that’s exciting but I know also scary for you since the way you feel but your gunna do great you been holding on this long you can’t give up keep pushing your self hopefully after birth your symptoms will kind of ware off a little not be so bad I’ll keep ya in my prayers as I do everyone who suffers from these symptoms it suck.
Today I seen my doctor and she told me that my ear doctor who literally just checked my ears and nose with regular utensils that my own doctor checks for told my doctor that he thinks it’s vestubilar migraines and to put me on a medicine which is notriptyline which I start tonight before bed it’s a 10mg pill she wants me to try it out and see if it helps but if for any reason I start to feel any different in a bad way to call her and let her know it might make me drowsy she says so she wants me to take it at night I’m like great I have a 2 year old but lucky he sleeps through the night .. also I’ve always had really bad migraines for as long as I can remember and I’m 26 right now also waitng to see a nueroligist soon .. I was wondering if you could ask your October if she can check you for any auto ammune disease they checked me for it and my blood levels were to high which means as of right now I am a carrier of it but no signs I have it because she says all my other blood test come back I’m healthy but in 2 months need to check again and if it’s still high she is referring me to a specialist for auto ammune disease !! Just thought I let you know I know any thing helps which a lot of people on here help me ruling things out !!

I hope the notriptyline helps you!!! I was on amittiptyline but it didn’t do anything for me. I’ve heard with vestibular migraines a lot of times you need to try a lot of different meds to find one that works for you. Did you just see your general practitioner today?
I actually don’t think I have been checked for auto immune diseases. Did your normal doctor do the blood work or did you have to see a specialist to check for it?

I've dealt with this for over 2 years too and I am finally getting to the bottom of it you need a dextramethasone suppression test.. they give u 2 steroids to take the night before the test I'm telling you that med worked wonders and gave me a day relief until it wears off your cortisol level will be tested on the blood work which your adrenals are affected low cortisol means a possibility of addisons disease high means cushings syndrome since it's not well know it's hard for doctors to detect your issue.. also check for celiac and gluten ataxia since ataxia isnt well known .. hope u find some relief but I have went through everything and 2 yrs of investigating

Hey Elise my results were that my cortisol was extremly low it came back as 28 which the lowest it should be is 135 so they are referring me to an endocrinologist.. the adrenals aren't making the proper hormones it controls over 100 hormones in your body .. I have alot ot the same symptoms that u have described but I have seen all the specialists that deal with the problems and they all came back ok my ears were clear seen an audiologist I seen a physiotherapist for my neck tried them also for the vertigo and nothing has been beneficial the family doc sent me to a psychatrist abd I have told them for over a year I dont need meds for my panic disorder it's making me worse its hormone related so I advocated for myself demanded this test .. also have u been checked for celiac disease ?? I have that also and if you have one autoimmune disease your probe to more so consuming any trace of gluten can throw your body off that's why they have told me about gluten ataxia.. but definitely if you havent got checked for that I would request that to your dr also

They also did a abdomen and kidney ultrasound came to the conclusion I have to get the gallbladder out i have an atonic bladder and a cyst on the left ovary I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the other problems going on but they found that after I had the dextramethasone suppression test.. hopefully u find answers too it's difficult because you know your own body and frustrating bc u try to explain your problems and get answers and it's just difficult to diagnose

Ohmygosh! That’s so low! What’s the auto immune disease called when you have low cortisol and your adrenal isn’t producing enough? Is it adrenal fatigue?
So many doctors haven’t checked for any of this for me. I have not been checked for celiac disease either! I don’t really know what kind of test to do for it, doctors just give me a normal CBC blood draw and say I’m fine.

I’m so sorry about your gall bladder, that’s going to be hard having surgery
you’re in my prayers!
I keep pushing to see more doctors, I’m just at a stand still right now because I’m over 39 weeks pregnant and waiting for my son to be born. After I recover for a bit I have appointments for more specialists.

Well I would def ask for that test but they may make u wait until right after you deliver the baby bc the 2 pills they give u at night might have an affect even being a low dose but that would rule out adrenal problems also ask the dr to check magnesium folate and b12 levels regularly .. because if they are low they may all be contributing to your mood .. it's tricky to make a diagnosis everything I find leads to you have anxiety you need therapy but there is always an underlying cause and u know ypur body more then anyone else .. I'm just trying to give u some feedback as to my yrs of investigating and going crazy myself .. not everyone is the same but having that one person out there that can recommend a test may be what your looking for .. and personally i ran into an old friend and got talking to her told her my problems and she told me that her friend had the same symptoms and to ask for that test and that's how i got this diagnosis otherwise I'd still be struggling to find a solution.

I also had 6 MRIs of my spine one on my ears one on my neck seen an optomologist audiologist 2 ents 2 neurologists I am in therapy I see a psychatrist sho only gave me meds that made things worse I have had vestibular testing .. feels like my right side is dif then my left at first they told me they were certain I had ms until the neurologist sent my reports to a Ms specialist who ruled it out .. I had the brain zaps and pin prick sensations I was working at the hospital and I had to go on ltd bc ot always felt like I was off balance the dizziness felt so bad I couldnt fer off the floor .. I have neck tension and pain on the right side .. I have had numbness in my right leg but all these symptoms have started to escalate .. I had complete paralysis on the right side for 2 days but i had a ct scan also of my head no signs of stroke i seen an internist who hooked me to a heart monitor i have had 3 ecgs and eeg because I had 2 seizures out of nowhere I reached out to do reiki seen a chiropractor osteopath natropath have spent thousands on natural treatments . Nothing has helped I contacted an irodologist someone that reads eyes his exact words were u have a compromised immune system something in your immune system is attacking itself your endocrine system is in a complete mess so sure enough he was right .. he gave me his herbal meds which were 600 US a month... Also have u tried the candida diet ?? Got checked for parasites ??? I have tried multiple cleanses also just a thought .. but your symptoms sound the exact same as mine . It's difficult to explain to people because it's very hard without sounding silly . But I was working on the surgical floor of the hospital and I had to take time off because I was scared of dropping people bc I was so off balance having to hold onto things so I woukdnt fall myself .. have you had the flu shot by any chance ?? Gullian barre syndrome is common amongst ppl that have gotten it I started getting my symptoms after that but that could be coincidental

Adrenal fatigue ... addisons disease .. a scope will detect celiac if you dont want to pay it's free the blood work to test for it would be the gluten antibody test I believe its 160$ have you got your thyroid checked ?? There are many things that can cause the same symptoms .. there is more than just the tsh on blood work to check for thyroid u have to ask for a few other ones to rule that one out as to check for estrogen progesterone and testosterone to be checked also to rule that out

I’ve literally seen every doctor you’ve described, I’ve seen so many ents, neuro- ents, neurologists, eye doctors. had so many cat scans, vestibular testing, mris, everything. I’ve had so many diagnoses ranging from vestibular neuritis, vestibular migraines, complicated migraine disorder, visual convergence disorder, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue system, some sensory disorder or nervous system disorder, depersonalization/ derealization disorder, anxiety, issues from Epstein Barr virus. Every time I went to see a new doctor I was referred to, they gave me a new diagnosis.
What doctor checked you for parasites and candidia? Is that a naturopath or holistic doctor? I’ve actuallt never heard of an iridologist, that’s something I’ll have to look into because something is so wrong with my eyes or my visual system connecting to my brain.

And this was all done by your general practitioner? And are adrenal fatigue and Addison’s disease both checked through a blood test? Sorry I’m very unfamiliar with all this!!!
