Brain fog, dizziness, vision problems, head pressure, headache PLEASE HELP

Hi everyone!
I don't know where else to go, and was hoping someone could please help me. I'll start off by saying I'm a 23 year old Caucasian female. Going on 5 months now, I have had absolutely debilitating symptoms which have hindered my daily life. I feel these symptoms every moment of every day.
It started with dizziness and a persistent brain fog. I just thought I had a bug, and tried to go on about my life. However, my symptoms have never gone away. This "brain fog" I am talking about is a feeling of complete mental confusion, I have no memory, I cannot concentrate on anything, it feels like there's a dark blanket on my brain clouding all my thoughts. I have extreme disorientation and haziness. I feel like I'm always in a dream like state.
I am constantly dizzy and feel a pulling sensation, as if I'm ready to fall over at any moment. It feels like there's air inside my head, and I'm always very lightheaded. Whenever I try to drive I feel this pulling sensation pulling me down.
Another problem I have is with my vision. I am having very blurred vision and have double vision. Everytime I look at something up close it is extremely blurry and I cannot see at all. My perception on things has completely changed. I feel like everything looks very odd and strange and I don't have the right depth perception. It's like I'm in a horrible dream like state all the time.
I have been having headaches and head pressure as well, and having horrible pains behind my eyes. The pin starts from the back of my head close to my neck and continues up my head and the sides of my temples. My eyes hurt so bad, and it feels like knives are jabbing my eyes. My head also feels extremely heavy all the time.
All these symptoms have been causing me severe anxiety, and I have been having panic attacks from them and feel like I'm dying. It is causing a strange disrespity sensation, where I feel like I'm not even here anymore and there's a detachment from myself and my body. I have had to drop all my classes at college and quit my job because these symptoms make me lay in bed all day long. I have been unable to drive for months and can barely get up to walk around. If anyone could please help me or know anything as a suggestion to try.
I have been to my general doctor, 2 ENTs, 1 neurologist, have had 2 MRIs, a hearing test, VNG, multiple blood tests, and no one knows what is wrong. I can't live like this anymore. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had this happen to me 5 days ago and it is very scary. I thought I was dying. I went to the er and right away they told me I was having a panic attack. I got a ten day supply of Valium. It helped but still have it happen to me everyday now. I was told by other people that I should find out more because a panick attack shouldn’t happen everyday or most of the day. Do you have any tingling or numbness in hands or fingers? Do you feel shaky? I sometimes feel that symptom too. Speech is also affected, sometimes not all the time.
I want to test for ms if there is a test for it. Compared symptoms and at this point I’m thinking it can’t be good. Specially to have this happen to your brain everyday.

How are you feeling? I can sympathize. I keep noticing things like my difficulty in spelling correctly, when i have always been very good at that and irritated by errors. I feel I have back spaced and fixed 10-12 words in this message already and I'm afraid I may not be making sense like my thoughts are so fleeting or something is bliocking my ability to covey my thoughts, like my mind can'r work my mouth (language) or hands to type or write. I'm really hoping to find some answers here. I don't want to use something like valium for fear I will just be more out of it. Did you ever consider an inner-ear issue? Part of me is thinking it's that because I'm still recovering from a nasty cold/flu,

Hi Elise,
I stumbled on your entry after googling pretty much what everyone else has been.
First off, how are you doing? Any changes/answers?
I have had similar signs to you and most other people here. Mine started off in March 2017 after I woke up one morning with vertigo, ie the whole room was spinning.
This went away after about a minute but then I was left with the following clinical signs:
- slightly out of focused vision - there's a bit of lag time when i turn my head sometimes, but most of the time everything just doesn't look right. if you wear contact lenses then maybe you can relate if i say it feels like i've only got one contact lens in and it just takes that extra time to focus.
- LOTS of floaters. i used to see one or two now and again but now I see them pretty much all the time
- my head just feels really fuzzy all the time, especially when i'm at work. sometimes i feel a pressure in my head as well.
- i feel tired a lot
which is really different to how i used to be.
- i used to get really bad migraines and nausea as well, especially after a long day at work - this has since eased up, i don't know if its because of the meds i'm on or whether my condition has improved a little over time
I've seen 2 ENTs and a neurologist, had full bloods, CT and MRI of the brain done and of course everything has come back normal. Because I'm in Singapore I have access traditional chinese physicians as well so I've tried acupunture. The ENTs and neuro all say that it's likely just the aftereffects of the vertigo that are taking a while to go away. I'm currently on flunarazine (for migraines) and gingko extract.
It's terrible though, I dont know how people cope with this - I work in a busy veterinary practice and used to love my work but now I just feel rotten about going to work, and I feel upset and depressed half the time.
If anyone has answers that would be fantastic -- or even just having others understand what I'm going through would be of help. It's been about 10 months and I dont know how I'm going to deal with this forever if it comes to it!

Did you ever get to the root cause of the problem? I've suffered from similar symptoms for about 10 years x

Hiya,
I haven't checked for that, but I have a neurology appointment this Thurs so I will ask about it, thank you.
My symptoms became awful this week; tingling in my head, arms, legs. Numbness all over almost. And then I felt if I didn't stop moving by body may pack up on me. And then a heat sensation running all over me.
I went to the doctors and they said it's stress, it is not stress. They took no bloods and I'm now going private through to neurology. My bones are aching, and it's hard to move around.
I started taking supplements 2 months ago; iron, b12 and some daily ones. I said I think I'm having a reaction and my body isn't absorbing it correctly, causing these problems, or something is attacking my nervous system. Of course, it's just 'anxiety'
I'm not saying there isn't a stress factor, but this is just awful. I'm aching all over still, and keep having hot baths to try and ease the feeling.
The doc at the hospital said I have optical neuritis, which apparently can be a symptom of a neurological disease.
I'll soon find out I guess.
I hope you all get some answers.
I'm feeling exhausted trying to understand what is happening.
Thanks for the suggestion nik
Amy

I hope you are good now .
But have you tried vitamin d, b12 , omega 3 , adrenal supplements ?
Take things slowly and don't expect results in short time .

Hi ,
I am suffering all these from 14 months . I was diagnosed with brain cavernoma and the docs confirmed my symptoms are not related to cavernoma . So after 14 months I have realized that we need to follow one thing holistically for 3 months and then shift to a new process , it's not going to be fixed in 7-15 days time and needs a lot of patience . Dont worry much and have your anxiety under control .
Check for
Any vitamins deficiency
Neuro mascular massage ( check for scm muscle)
brain Ct scan
ear test (vng test )
eye checkup by a ratinalogist
Vertical heterophoria
Try medicines for sometime from doctors but make sure u don't get addicted .
