Brain fog, dizziness, vision problems, head pressure, headache PLEASE HELP

Hi everyone!
I don't know where else to go, and was hoping someone could please help me. I'll start off by saying I'm a 23 year old Caucasian female. Going on 5 months now, I have had absolutely debilitating symptoms which have hindered my daily life. I feel these symptoms every moment of every day.
It started with dizziness and a persistent brain fog. I just thought I had a bug, and tried to go on about my life. However, my symptoms have never gone away. This "brain fog" I am talking about is a feeling of complete mental confusion, I have no memory, I cannot concentrate on anything, it feels like there's a dark blanket on my brain clouding all my thoughts. I have extreme disorientation and haziness. I feel like I'm always in a dream like state.
I am constantly dizzy and feel a pulling sensation, as if I'm ready to fall over at any moment. It feels like there's air inside my head, and I'm always very lightheaded. Whenever I try to drive I feel this pulling sensation pulling me down.
Another problem I have is with my vision. I am having very blurred vision and have double vision. Everytime I look at something up close it is extremely blurry and I cannot see at all. My perception on things has completely changed. I feel like everything looks very odd and strange and I don't have the right depth perception. It's like I'm in a horrible dream like state all the time.
I have been having headaches and head pressure as well, and having horrible pains behind my eyes. The pin starts from the back of my head close to my neck and continues up my head and the sides of my temples. My eyes hurt so bad, and it feels like knives are jabbing my eyes. My head also feels extremely heavy all the time.
All these symptoms have been causing me severe anxiety, and I have been having panic attacks from them and feel like I'm dying. It is causing a strange disrespity sensation, where I feel like I'm not even here anymore and there's a detachment from myself and my body. I have had to drop all my classes at college and quit my job because these symptoms make me lay in bed all day long. I have been unable to drive for months and can barely get up to walk around. If anyone could please help me or know anything as a suggestion to try.
I have been to my general doctor, 2 ENTs, 1 neurologist, have had 2 MRIs, a hearing test, VNG, multiple blood tests, and no one knows what is wrong. I can't live like this anymore. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My son is 19 and has had these exact symptoms for 5 months. Have you a diagnosis and a cure?We have seen a neurologist, ophthalmologist and are seeing a second neurologist soon.

Elise, I'm so very glad I found your posts tonight. I have never responded to any internet forums before. However, while looking for some help for me I came across you. I truly believe I can help. I encourage you to check out Meneare Disease. I have it and also all the symptoms you name to about halfway in your symptoms. Being more specific, my symptoms are: vertigo, which includes the pulling down sensation you describe as well as light-headedness, I actually am dizzy to the point of 3 serious falls this year- broken back being the most serious) the dizzyiness is not all the time and I do take Meclizine for the vertigo which can be bought over the counter. Well, this sentence is a run on. I also have fullness in my head and ears. They bubble or float. I have double vision in one eye, brain fog, severe memory issues, primarily short-term memory, I believe I experience several more symptoms in common with you but don't recall them just now. Oh, lack of concentration/focus, (I have been thinking I might have ADD lol, seriously though) The dr. would not give me med for that, thank you God. When I was told it was Meneare's Disease, which is considered serious, I looked it up and learned there are some things that can be done. I have gotten off caffeine and greatly restricted salt. Unfortunately, getting treatment for me is proving challenging due to my insurance. The 2nd half of your symptoms 'sound' like anxiety and depression. No surprise there. They even say on Vanderbilt's site that both those are extremely common, but to have HOPE. I say that to you too Elise. I can say with reasonable confidence, "You are not crazy." Because I know I am not. I do as much as I can during the better times, take the Meclizine and whatever is necessary, staying close to chairs or bed during the not as good times. The Valium actually does help because it works on the balance bone system in the ears. I thought it was to sedate but not at all. They even give weed where it is legal. I don't want to go there though. The worst in many ways for me is two-fold: memory and the loss of any substantial amount of reading. I love to study and read and I am so uncomfortable, (when I can see the page), that I just avoid it now. I have turned to audio. I urge you to obtain some books on tape, teaching on YouTube, the Bible on CDs or MP3 (may can get that on line). Do what you can to make the most of have to be often confined to bed. It could be a great opportunity for you. But DON'T fail to see a teaching hospital specializing in Meneare's Disease. Many ENTs and most GPs will tell you nothing can be done for it. Not so. There's just not a pill to cure us. Yet. Elise, hang in there. It's bad, I know, but there is hope; and it is most definitely not something to give up over. p.s. Before mine was identified, I wondered why no one else heard the crickets like I did. They were so loud. Now it is like waves roaring in a storm. I play music or tv very loud to cover the sound, day and night, which of course only adds to my already disturbed sleep. But, it's all a trade-off, isn't it? Bye Elise. I'll be praying for you.

Hi Kenny 45748 I'm deborah02990. If time permits, and interest for that matter, check out my two posts to Elise93. It seems she and I may suffer from the same condition. See how you compare. Also, some of what I said to her may help you if indeed your symptoms are same. Look forward to hearing from you. deborah02990

Flank pain refers to discomfort in your upper abdomen or back and sides. It develops in the area below the ribs and above the pelvis. Usually, the pain is worse on one side of your body.
Thanks

I think it comes from the ears, trust me check your ears to make sure no mastoid air which causes dizziness, pressures in the head.
It could be anxiety too.
You need to have talking therapy 121 to get rid of most symptoms.
Let me know about your up date.

Elise, I'm Deborah02990, I have thought about you repeatedly since I read your post a couple of nights ago and responded. How are you doing now? I really mean it too. I would very much like to know how you are doing? Your symptoms are so so very similar to mine that I feel as much concern for you and for myself. I guess because I really do know what you're going through. We often say that to people and have no idea whatsoever they are going through. Not the case this time. Right down to the anxiety and depression, if indeed that is what you are experiencing. I am not plagued with them right now but have several times in my past. As I said, I am a mature woman and have therefore experienced much and been around a lot seeing and knowing other people. Well, I have nothing new. My condition is the same. One ear had improved a little but is back to its former distressing buzz. At least no waves, but sometimes the buzzing is so loud I can cope only by turning tv or music on quite loudly. Actually. you helped me without knowing it. I have the double vision and blurriness and it is a relief to know they are connected to the Meniere's Disease. Not that having it is acceptable, but at least I don't have another thing wrong with me. The Opthomologist told me a few years ago while looking in my eye for the source of the double vision, that I had had a stroke. Well, I knew I had one 28 years ago during a surgery, but I had also had an episode of 'something' shortly before I saw him for the double vision. I had been told that episode was a stroke by a couple of doctors, but told it was Not by 2 others who were backed up by a Cat Scan.
I had never know what to think. I assumed stroke but that was not good because there was absolutely no reason or indication of one other than the episode that night (which I always suspected might be drug interaction) and the two doctors who after the fact saw me and by my description called it a stroke. So, you see, you cleared up something for me, encourage me, because again, I am not stroke material (really really good news) and I only have the one serious issue going on which is good news (while still bad news). Did you follow that convoluted scrabble? Bye, please let me know your current state. debbie
