Brain Fog Triggers? (Sorry if this isn't the right category to post this in!)

I noticed the past 3 days that I had no brain fog whatsoever, total clarity. Work has been going good, I've been able to focus and actually get stuff done. Talking with friends on a regular basis, basically the most "normal" I have been in a while. I think I have anxiety induced brain fog or just something that makes my thoughts..."strange" and "odd" are probably good words...for the past several weeks. I still have my memories, but they feel like another person experienced them. So these last 3 days have been great until wham, this evening the brain fog or whatever kicked back in and now I'm annoyed because memories that were so clear just a few hours ago now feel like dreams.

So my question is, are brain fog triggers a thing? And like, opposite triggers, like the absence alone makes the brain fog go away? Because I feel like mine is a family member who works from a different location during the week and returns to the house on weekends, and obviously I can't do anything about that except move 😕 I feel like I can't even talk to anyone in my family about the mental symptoms I have sometimes, not only the individual.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Brain fog can come and go. i’ve had anxiety for over 30 years and along with that comes many crazy sensations including that. I do know that when my anxiety is bad I can’t concentrate as much and I feel foggy. Yes the crazy thoughts and weird thoughts are just so disturbing to me. But then again they seem to be around more when I am anxious.

    you could even feel great for several days or more but then all of a sudden you get hit with the brain fog. That’s because there’s often an underlying anxiety. Yours could be that relative.

    i’ve been to numerous doctors, neurologist over the years and not one of them has a definite answer because anxiety and its sensations are very difficult for them to understand what’s really going on. That’s because they can’t actually see it like they can see a broken bone. So it’s really up to us to reduce anxiety as much as possible and when we get the sensations, don’t overreact to them in a fearful way because they just get worse. Try to take a matter-of-fact approach and do everything you can to slow the anxiety down, find joy in life and keep a positive attitude. Stay healthy and get some exercise. Nurture the social, emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical areas of your life and you will have some peace about all of this!
