Brain shutting down

Posted , 1 user is following.

Hi guys!

I don't know how to start, so I'm just gonna dive right in. Sometimes my brain just almost completely shuts down. I cannot form any thoughts and have a really hard time forming sentences in that state. It's just a big hole filled with literally nothing and I can only stare. I have to "fight it" really hard to not "completely fall into it" (idk how to put it honestly). It usually happens when I'm getting really anxious or am thinking of some traumatic event (which I have a decent collection of). I do have ADHD but i don't think it's that; I experience something really simliar caused by my ADHD to it but that's when I have too many thoughts and cant really process much of those thus leading to the same (but no where as bad) emptiness.

I understand that this is in no way how to get a diagnosis (which I'm not trying to do) but due to anxiety and parents (I'm not underaged, just living with them and unfortunately not financially independent yet 😕) right now therapy is just not an option.

I hope somebody can try to help me understand what it might be 😃
