Brain throb?

Hey, so I was laying down trying to take a nap, and out of nowhere I felt this painful throbbing sensation in the top left of my head? It didn't continue to throb though, it was a one-off thing. I'm really confused because I have no idea what that could've been and whether I should be worried about it. I have chronic migraines and I'm on my period so headaches are extra common for me but that just seemed...strange. Any thoughts?
