Brain tumor likelihood

Hi all
I am going to just come out and say it - I think I have a brain tumor!
I have never suffered headaches in my life and for the last 1-2 weeks I have had this dull pressure tightband feeling around my head headache if that makes sense? The type of headache you get when you have been crying for a long time, this is what I have all the day.....lately the headache seems to be on the top of my head now and all around
I do hydrate and I do try and not stress about things however I have HA.
Can someone please try and talk to me about this because I have been in tears crying about dying from this tumor in my head. I have been to the Dr last week and she says its a head cold or sinus/allergies...WTF, I am not sneezing or bunged up.....she said my BP was slightly up but nothing to worry about and not connected to the headaches..... went back to another GP today to check the Blood pressure which is slightly high still however he has referred me for a a head MRI, this must be it for me.....
I really do not know which other way to turn....

I am sorry you are so worried. I have a brain tumour so know something about initial symptoms. While headache may be an issue, it is usually not the usual or only issue. Seizures are common, sometimes major sometimes an unnatural hand or arm stiffening. Are you walking straight A’s a new gait often occurs. Headaches may be the symptom of other things like your doctors have suggested or maybe you need an eye test as this may be a cause. If your symptoms get worse, or anything unusual happens, go back to your doctor. Meanwhile try not to worry as that does not help. Try to continue enjoying life.
Best wishes
Brian

Hello Brian
Thanks for replying, I am sorry to hear you have a brain tumor.
I have what I can only explain as a head rush feeling so for example when you bend over and put your shoes on that sudden rush to the brain, I have that pressure feeling all the time, no pain, just this pressurized feeling. I am quite stressed about the whole thing and terrified, I have an eye test on Saturday & apparently this is a good indication if a tumor is present due to the optic nerve or disc being enlarged or swelled.
I am walking ok (I think)
How did you find out you had one? (if you dont mind me asking)

Just want to give you a bit of reassurance as I have been where you are now. It all started when I woke up with a horrific migraine early hours in the morning with loss of feeling in my arm. I was taken to hospital in an ambulance and sent home with the diagnosis of a migraine. From this point I began to experience most of the brain tumour symptoms - headaches , head pressure, dizziness, blurred and loss of vision, pins and needles and nausea. I got so scared and convinced myself I had a brain tumour so I paid for a private mri which came back clear! So the only explanation for all of these symptoms was anxiety which now makes sense when I look back as the symptoms for the two things can be very similar and the more I worked myself up the worse it was.
Hope this helps/reassures you
Paige

hello Paige
WOW - thank you for your message - I suffer greatly with HA ..... but I am truly convinced I have a brain tumor, my forehead is hurting right now as I type... What I also experience is when I stand up the same forehead/head pressure starts and then my ears go all blocked and everything sounds echo'd or far away - I am not sure this is anxiety so scared there is a blockage somewhere also - I am getting my eyes tested tomorrow as apparently they can detect tumors through the back of your eyes.....crying before I get seen as so nervous might pass out
Dont think I can cope

I always used to have the worst head pressure at the back of my head and sometimes it felt like my ears were blocked and made weird noises. I also had an eye test as i was scared! they found nothing. I know you're going to be fine!
