hey there, im so sorry to hear youve been in pain for weeks. the good news is, headaches are common, brain tumors are VERY rare.

some more good news is that you almost never find a brain tumor patient that only presents with headaches. since you have only mentioned the headache, I am willing to bet a lot that you are OK.

it is much more common to have neurological symptoms in the cases of brain tumors. throwing up in the morning is often seen, since increased head pressure actually causes a very upset stomach and violent vomiting. Head pressure is highest in the morning so thats when people usually vomit from a tumor changing that pressure. some other signs include numbness of your body that will be on one side or the other (usually never both), double vision, smelling or tasting things differently, trouble speaking, inability to move extremities, seizures, hearing loss or hearing things that aren't there, feeling like a different person, inability to walk straight, and bad headaches with exertion or straining. even with these symptoms, the cause is often a neurological disorder or something else before it is ever a brain tumor. A very large portion of people have their tumor diagnosed before they ever get a headache since these other symptoms alert them something is wrong before that happens. the brain itself cannot feel pain, so that is why other symptoms present before the tumor begins causing headaches usually.

the most common brain tumors (ex: meningioma) are not cancerous and the patient can live with them if they want, or have it removed.

in a high grade cancerous tumor, like a glioblastoma, the tumor grows very quickly and so the patient experiences symptom progression within as little as weeks. It is very possible you would already be aware you had a more serious problem. The fact that you dont fit any of the criteria I explained makes me positive your headaches are being caused by a more common problem.

Since your problem is going on weeks, I would schedule an appointment with your doctor so you can get some relief. You could have sinus pressure even if you dont have a cold currently, or a simple run of the mill headache that would normally go away on its own cant get better because you are very stressed. Holding tension in your body, eye strain, posture, or sinus issues is a much more likely cause than a brain tumor. Let your doctor help and in the meantime practice relaxation techniques.

I know a lot about brain tumors from personal experience so I hope explaining what they typically look like in real life helps you feel better. I'm here if you need someone to talk to!
