Has anyone experienced brain zaps without coming off of antidepressants? Is there anything that can be done about it? Thank you.

yes, I have had brain zaps without being on any medication. They are very common with anxiety. I’ve had anxiety my whole life and brain zaps occasionally. So yes, it’s very possible.

The only thing that really helps is when I reduce my anxiety level. So I try to take care of myself by exercise, eating healthy, listening to meditations for anxiety, I got counseling which helped a lot, and also I changed my attitude about anxiety. Instead of living in fear and negative thinking I reversed it and became a lot more positive. When issues in my life would come up I would work on them in a more positive way rather than feeling like the worlds going to end. Any little thing you do for yourself in a positive way helps a lot.

do things that help you to relax and make you smile and laugh. Attitude is everything. I stopped taking life so seriously and enjoyed every single day. Being grateful is extremely helpful!

    Hi,

When feeling bad I will experience what I can only describe as a rushing feeling in the head (like if in an elevator which suddenly drops) they are quite uncommon and maybe this happens a couple of times a day. I tend to start to feel bad when among other people, the head pressure just grows until it is near unbearable. Unfortunately this has got a firm grasp around me and no medication has had any effect.....
