Hi,you bring up a very important subject, one that is very concerning and that the medical profession will not admit to. I'm not on Sertraline at this time,I'm taking Fluvoxamine, but it is an issue with all the SSRI'S because of generic medicines. I started on Sertraline way back in 1990's and I've been on every SSRI since then when they were all branded medication. Since then, every SSRI has lost their patent meaning anyone can make them. There are multiple manufacturers making SSRI antidepressants of every kind including Sertraline. This is similar to generic brands of paracetamol, aspirin etc you buy in a shop. I and many many others are experiencing the very same thing as you when swapping manufacturers. It got so bad for me on generic Citalopram that I won't take it,and although Fluvoxamine is generic, there are very few brands and so far I have been able to keep to the same. No doctor, pharmacist etc will very rarely accept or admit to what you are telling them, even though they either know or are ignorant. My advice to you is to try to stick to the same brand if you can. I don't know if you are in the US or UK or other, but I know in the US you can be forced by insurance companies to accept cheaper, but if you are in the UK you might be able to get your pharmacist to keep to the same brand for you. Even though they can't admit to it,they know about it and might help you if you tell them. Generic antidepressants are a scandal waiting to be exposed in the future, when they affect people so badly like us suffering with mental health issues. Hope that helps.
