As far as I can tell, there's not much difference. I'm on 1500mg of Depakote, 600mg of Neurotin and 100mg of Lamictal (though all generics) and adding the Lamictal has done wonders for me. I've gone from having 6 to 7 seizures a week to having a few each year. And that's probably due to me missing doses (which is a whole different story in itself). Trust your Neurologist, they know what they're doing.
