Brandt daroff

Posted , 1 user is following.

hello everyone,

i have had a few episodes of vertigo since April and following the most recent, i have been instructed by my doctor to

perform the "brandt daroff" exercise to treat the problem. however, the instructions are confilcting with others that i have read about and been shown.

1, the NHS does not instruct to sit in the upright position for 30 seconds whereas, other info says do.

2, my doctor has not performed any test to see which ear is the problem.

3, again, the document she sent me doesnt have any info on how to sleep at night whereas, other info says i should sleep atleast 45 degrees.

4, how long does this take? how do i know if im doing it correctly?

5, i am signed off for one week but the treatment takes two.

6, is there a sure fire way of knowing, doing this properly?

7, she hasnt seen me and has given me these instructions, i have to go back to work and cant spend weeks and weeks off

trying this or that. it seems to be something thats a little hit and miss.

ive watched dozens of youtube videos on the effectiveness of the various treatments but im still not sure if im even doing the brandt daroff correctly.

i would be very grateful if there is anybody who can assist as im becoming a little concerned even about leaving the house incase

something occurs and i dont know how to deal with it.

thank you
