Bread for gout?

Posted , 10 users are following.

A silly thing but with so much conflicting advice i want to know from other sufferers if white is better than brown. I prefer brown but the other half says she spotted on the interweb that white is the way to go..

Anybody have any thoughts?

i eat brown or white bread now and then it does not seem to trigger my gout attack. crash diet seems to be the trigger for me. but if you can substitute breas with rice it is much better as rice seems to have a low to non uric acid

    goodluck

A crash diet can trigger gout: the reason is that when you diet you are essentially living off fat your own body. Fasting has a process to protect against this (it triggers an anti inflammatory response).  I did a 15 day fast and had no problems with gout.
