Breast Issue

Since I was a young kid, I had asymmetric breasts i.e. left breast a little bigger than the right one. This sounds ridiculous, I know but the physical appearance ( chest area) seemed like that which drew my mom's attention during that age. we did nothing at the time because I felt nothing. As I was growing up, the proportion of my breasts was the same. It caught my attention in the past few years when my left breast suddenly felt heavy ( not quite disproportionately). My nipple area felt cold, pain and somewhat heavy like its mass being pulled down. This kind of behavior wasn't regular. Incident happened twice or thrice in three/four months which usually lasted for 24-48 hours of such symptoms. Also, on my right breast, some kind of knot can be felt from underneath ( from the lower part).

I have told not a single soul about it. I freak out every time I feel pain and cold around in my breast. I'm 21 years old. I haven't visited doctors yet.

Thank you.

I don't think that whatever answers you may get on this site will ease your mind. I know that we are supposed to do routine breast exams to "feel" for lumps and changes monthly. To me everything felt lumpy when I did the exam. I learned that a breast cancer is slow growing in the beginning (10 years until one can feel the lump) so I decided to have a yearly exam by a professional that specializes in that area and not to worry unless I felt a significant change. You need to ease your mind and see a professional for an exam and to answer all of your questions. I have always gone to a women doctor for this because they can understand better, in my opinion, than a male doctor. I believe that most women have asymmetrical breasts but knots and lumps need an initial check. Checking is better than worrying. Get real answers. Good luck.
