Breast lump & pain; but after the mamogram different!

About 4 weeks ago I found a lump in my right breast, I was at the doctors within a few days, I wasn't concerned about cancer, nor was she as the lump came on very quick and the pain was awful with pain in my shoulder and neck, couldn't lift my arm too high,   couldn't touch my breast for the pain, had 2 weeks off (working in a pub and pulling a pint was hurting me so much).  Anyway as this didn't get any better I was sent to the breast clinic yesterday; I had a mammogram first and then an ultrasound, but this is the crazy thing; driving home I realised the pain had subsided, I could lift my arm and later that evening I was able to lie on either side without this pain.  At the moment; the lump is still sore but manageable - could the mammogram have squashed something? Sounds draft I know, the pain was real, I did try mind over matter when it was hurting me, but what a difference now.
