You need a mamography and they can tell you if it is solid or liquid. Liquid is better. It can be drained and you can be given antibiotics. It could also just be a cyst. I can tell you that there are many problems with breasts. It isn't always the C word. Also stop drinking caffene. Coffee and soda. Bad for cysts and breasts in general. I think if it grows you will have to go somewere sooner. Good luck!

Hi Janet thank you.. I do drink a lot of coffee so thats not good. I have also noticed some white discharge this morning. Its so hard with the symptoms to try to find out if its an abscess or a cyst.

I am not a Dr. but I have worked for them and have had many bad experiences. I can tell you that Dr.s are looking for the worst. I have consulted many of them. Unfortunately they have a battery of tests for routine. My problems have been solved without the help of Dr.s. Sometimes its trial and error and sometimes it's simple. Don't let them scare you until all the facts are in. Stop caffeine. I have had more cysts with them. Caffeine loves to create cysts. I have had cysts that went away after I stopped coffee. Sometimes a discharge is normal. I just discovered that soaking them in Epsom salt with a cup clears the discharge. Hope I've helped. I started with problems 3 months after giving birth. It has taken a long time to work things out. I also never wear polyester bras. They seem to feed infections by keeping them moist. I only wear cotton cup bras! I think Cancer has scared everyone. It is not necessarily the case. In fact it is usually not the case. smile Good luck!

I really don't know but the more you worry, the more you will find a problem. Let them just check it out. I have had an infection that got bigger and smaller. I have had breast pain with just exercise. All of your sympotoms it could be normal. I only know that when they look for Cancer they are looking for a solid lump. Also cancer does not get smaller, only larger. Dr's biopsy everything. I have had many. None cancer. Lots of unessassary scares.
