Hi there yes I have been suffering extremely tender breasts for around 2 months now. Haven't mentioned it to the doc yet as thought could be hormones but I'm on the coil too so could be that or the Fibro but it really is painful x hope ur feeling better soon

I have breast pain too at times the left one mostly. I haven't been diagnosed yet with Fibro. I am pretty sure it is that, had symtoms over a year. I just wanted to reply just make sure to tell you that I read in a couple place higher instances of breast cancer in Fibro. patients. LINK  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22322540

You may find other info on the internet. Sorry about that pain you are having. Take care.

Evening Crystal;  I did go into your suggested site from your input above.......did you also note the side piece/s of info on Fibro  (especially the use of COQ10 )......I started taking these a few years ago, as it is also necessary to take these if on Statins (for Cholesterol).....COQ 10 helps the synthesis of cells,  and feel that this is also interesting for Fibro sufferers, as it is stated that we all have probs with our Cellular Activity.....our decrease in producing Energy...do any of you take COQ 10, if not, it maybe worthwhile researching same, and let us know what you decide/feel.......they are a Supplement (not a medication).............good luck researching.....Bron

Hi. I am 65 yr old lady who has fibromyalgia. My breats are sore and shooting pains come and go. Have been told by Gp it's not hormones at my age!! and is part of fibro. Its very annoying and to feel I'm doing something I take some deep breathes to relax any muscular problem and rub in something like movelat or deep heat type stuff. Between these things I get some relief but appreciate that it is unpleasant. Hope that helps

Hi Freckles I think its important that we all examine our breasts regualr, as I had a breat cancer scare a few years back. what you are experiencing is a fibro symptom I have those symptoms on a regular basis. take care gentle hug

i cant realy comment on this 1 but examine your breasts to be on the safe side see your gp to help rule every possibility out but i do get chest pains which causes me pain in my ribcage its like you described and its very intense and its also in my ribs mainly the 4th,5th and 6th rib however i cant say it will be this but i have been diagnosed with costocondritis which is very commen with fibro sufferers like myself so all i will say is check yourself and if your worried see you gp just to be on the safe side

Yes I have them...  Not as many as I used to get.  I went through menopause very very early after a major car accident.   But my bouts are just that, those painful bouts come and go.  Like a cluster of them and then stop...  Could go on through 2 - 3 days then again could go on for over a week and then subside.  I would use oil and even in the shower with hot water and soat massage them, put pressure on the so sore areas to... Every bit of whatever  to try and relieve it over time....   All the best... it's just another thing in the Fibro chocolate box Mix

Just a quick question that I forgot to ask... do you have breasts with 'lumpy tissue?'  I certainly do...   and so I have regular mammograms to...  I do have an area with a hardening of tissue from a old infection I had in a blocked gland down by the darker area of the nipple. I was pregnant at the time  The hardened area is half as long as my small finger and it used to also trigger off major pain from it up into my neck... really sharp and lingering pain...   I did have this checked out and aspirated it wasn't able to be diagnosed other than hardened tissue, and to keep an eye on any other changes should they come about.

Yeah I do have lumpy tissue, I have had a mammogram but all was clear, it's an awful pain and breaths are always so tender, I check myself everyday for changes sometimes it's hard tho as they are so tender to touch 😔

My breasts used to swell badly and be ever so sore, however that was due to Hormones.  As my very early menopause struck hard and fast I lost all that business of sore boobs.   However I do get those niggly dam sharp pains strike which were not a hormone issue back then, but are a fibro issue now...

      Take care all the best.

I too expierience frequent breast pain. I get yearly exams and all is normal. My Dr has not said that she thinks it is my Fibro it does help to hear that others have this same issue, although I do hope that you find some help with your pain.  I also have more pain on the left side.  I hope this information helps.  Prayers and blessings to all!  :-)

Ty, it seems to be mostly my left side too although I have started getting it more regular on the right now, I have been checked and docs say all is fine so they putting it down to fibro as there is no other cause that they can find. X
