Breath smells like faeces (Poo)

Posted , 379 users are following.

I have this horrid poo smell from my mouth. I brush my teeth twice a day, floss, use Dentyl PH mouthwash, I have the best oral hygeine of anyone I know but I still have this smell. I am too embarrassed to even ask my flriends or family to tell me my breath stinks. I am becoming totally reclusive because of it. Id rather go to my GP and tell him ive got an STD. I know ive got it coz sometimes people look around and ask if ive farted, and I see people with babies smelling their nappies when I speak. It really is starting to badly affect my life but I just cant pluck up the courage ot go to my GP. How on earht can i ay \"DR, My breath smells like poo!\" Please, if anyone has any tips let me know.

Hi Brandon, do u have swollen tonsils? Dry mouth?

I don't eat diary or sugary things but when I do I notice my bad breath. I guess I always have it but can't smell much until I eat those things.

I tested for hplori twice & don't have it.

I tested for hplori twice & don't have it. I agree with you mentioning balancing oral bacteria. I'm also following up w specialists.

Ask your docs if filtration organs: kidneys, swollen tonsils (no tonsil stones) cause ppl to breath this odor out or how a bad sinus inflection not diagnosed may cause it too.

my halitosis ENT wants to remove my tonsils but can't say if this is a bacteria or virtual infection. So I'm waiting to see other types of specialists.

First of all I have been suffering with this since 8th grade and now am a senior. It sucks so bad man.....I feel like crying all the time, some comments I get are shut you effing mouth, it smells like cat p***, stop breathing, mop ur mouth etc... After one comment it shuts me down for the day, I will get depressed and stop talking all day. It's the worst to get this during high school too, I have had no girlfriends over the period I got this and first impressions are always Person:Hi - Me: Hey how are you? - Person: Good ( simultaneously covers his/her nose) end of conversation with that person and will never talk to again probably. I received this from my friend, I believe I started hanging out with him and I remember I tasted his breath and one day later got a really bad fever. After that he'll began everyone covering their nose and looking away. Whatever I do I can never smell my breath, here and there i get a whiff of it and I dont think its that bad at all but other people react differently. My spirit is at the brink of being crushed and I have almost given up. I can't talk to anyone. No one likes to sit with me let alone do a class project with me which I am always left out. I have transformed from this majestic social butterfly to a cocoon that doesn't move or talk at all. I have tried so many techniques to get rid of this. One week I drank hydrogen peroxide 3% everynight. One whole cup each night which made me feel like puking and hate the taste of it. My guts burned and hurt. I am so desperate that I would take 1 million billet shots to the head and feel the pain for a whole day for it to go away. I have tried water fast for 3 days which worked for a week then got worst I believe. I brush, floss, gargle with hydrogen peroxide everynight to the point where my gums and tounge bleed from the scratching. I have researched this topic so much that I feel like I am a certified Doctor. Causes I found are asthma in early age, which I had but no symptoms now. Excessive use of antibiotics at a young age which kill off all bacterias. Tonsil stones are a major factor, acid reflux, laryngitis, pharyngitis, sinus problems, bad posture, mouth breath, and sweets. I have prayed for years to heal this and I feel better after but still no results. I would like to serve this country and join the military but will probably made fun of because of it. No one in this world knows the darkness in our hearts, the Path that we walk through everyday and suffering. Let's keep hoping guys. Goodluck to everyone.

Hi everyone, I have the same issue for about 10 years.

    1) you have to remove your tonsil even if you don't see your tonsil stone. I didn't see my, but I had the stone, That reduce the bad odor.

    2) I think I know what we all have " Yeast infection mouth" need to eat yogurt ( Activia ) twice a day for about two month.

Do not drink "antibiotic" that only kills the good bacteria not the bad.

    hi Alwillpower

I couldn't have said it any better. We are in a really dark place and all it is that we're doing is run around in circles trying to find a cure while watching our lives pass us by, it breaks me that you are still in school I can imagine what you are going through. I hope we all find a cure one day you are still young don't give up. It is so traumatic watching other people live their lives to the max, especially if you have great potential and personality.

It's been about ten days since my tonsils removal surgery and let me say that it has been a very difficult recovery period : The pain killers cause me to be completely scattered brain and sleepy and it was difficult swallowing even water. Keeping in mind that this platform has a verity of ppl that suffer from different issues that cause bb I am please to say that for me it seems like my tonsils were a major component of my BB issue, I say seems because I am still on antibodies so I am not one hundred percent sure yet . Since the surgery my mouth has felt and tasted cleaner , my tongue is not covered in that horrible white film in the morning and best of all I haven't noticed ppl covering their noses as I speak .Now I am still going to continue using baking soda , peroxide, water pick floss system , and a metal tongue scrapper in my daily routine. The effects of dairy and sugar are at the forefront of my mind so I have to test that after I have finished the antibodics . I can't say that I found my cure but I can say that removing my tonsils has decreased the bacteria in my mouth. I will post any useful information found on this jorney.

I tried a little experiment last night I had chocolate covered fruit didn't brush and went to bed , I wanted to know if that nasty coat of white film would reappear in the morning . This morning I woke up and my mouth didn't taste filthy so I went to the mirror and was pleasantly pleased to find a pink tongue with a little bit of white . I brushed and my tongue was completely pink again .

i I have finally returned to my regular diet after about three weeks of soft foods. To celebrate this mile stone I decided to have a steak , red meat had a horrible effect on my breath before surgery and unfortunately that didn't change . The tonsil removal helped decrease the amount of bacteria in my mouth and I haven't seen my tongue this pink in forever however there are still many factors to consider . To start I will no longer use both peroxide and backing soda to brush , the soulution is too strong for my mouth now being that the bacteria has decreased, the soulution burns . I can't have red meat ever as it takes so many days to be digest it there for causing the horrible Smell . Now that I have removed my tonsils I feel like I am a few steps away from find my cure .
