Breath smells like faeces (Poo)

I have this horrid poo smell from my mouth. I brush my teeth twice a day, floss, use Dentyl PH mouthwash, I have the best oral hygeine of anyone I know but I still have this smell. I am too embarrassed to even ask my flriends or family to tell me my breath stinks. I am becoming totally reclusive because of it. Id rather go to my GP and tell him ive got an STD. I know ive got it coz sometimes people look around and ask if ive farted, and I see people with babies smelling their nappies when I speak. It really is starting to badly affect my life but I just cant pluck up the courage ot go to my GP. How on earht can i ay \"DR, My breath smells like poo!\" Please, if anyone has any tips let me know.

I'm certain a huge percentage of bad breath comes from the gut.  From bacteria.  From spicy foods and also foods that feed fungus (sugars, vinegar, moldy foods like bananas, cantelopes, avacado, etc.).  When the fungus grows in our gut we need the probiotics (GOOD bacteria) to Crowd Out the bad bacteria. (Most of us know that the probiotics do not kill the bad bacteria in our gut and intestines, but they DO "crowd out" the bad bacteria.)

My doctor shared with me the following:  When the bad bacteria grow all kinds of things happen, from stomach issues to headache (sometimes migraines), nasal issues, bath breath, underarm odor, earaches, itching, fibromyalgia, MS, even breathing issues at times---you name it, a malady of issues!  So obviously we dont want to feed the bad bacteria.  We want to Kill it.  We can do that with foods like broccoli, cauliflower, onion, and garlic.  They kill bad bacteria.  But then we get the bad breath, right? Which is the issue we're talking about here that I am responding to.  So it seems a cat is chasing its own tail.

After I've used Probiotics to crowd out the bad bacteria, I have to change my diet. Big time. That's where the patience comes in.  NO ONE WANTS TO STOP EATING the foods they like, or start losing too much weight because they cant eat certain foods if they dont want bad breath issues.  The monkey then, is back on our backs to figure out what to do.  And that of course, is individual.

Personally, probiotics help for me, but I ALSO watch and listen to a television show that promotes good health and talks about fungus growing in our bodies---that we all have it, but it gets out of control and manifests other health issues.  And that we have to deal with it by getting rid of it.  Bad breath is one of the issues caused from the fungus growing in our gut from foods we eat that are sugars or molds or vinegars, etc.  The show is called knowthecause and it is on both cable and satellite. Its phenomenal.

Getting to the GUT where all the problems lie  is the key.  Now.  What to DO with the gut?!

Life is tough, isn't it? Wishing we had answers for everything.  But we're fortunate there is a support system we can go to, like this one, to read and have ideas to contemplate to try.  I changed my diet, dropped all cheeses and dairy, and take probiotics.

Onward !  I'll be watching the forum here to check out posts. smile

Thanks for your suggestions the probiotics seem to be helping some plus I have also begun using humidifiers as Alberta is incredibly dry and that seems to be helping with the drainage as well.

Glad to hear you are getting some benefit out of those methods. Make sure to do the experiment I just mentioned above. Sinus problems are a side effect of rotting food. You said "The smell is from the mucus that drains or suppose to drain down the back of your throat except mine does not. It collects and dries at night time and by morning smells like hell." This obviously isn't normal. This could be because the mucus is trying to "cover" the bacteria that has collected on the putrid food in your nasopharynx. If the mucus just sits behind your nose, at the top of your throat, that is exactly where the old food would be rotting.

Either that or you have a collapsed nasal valve which traps the mucus in the back of your nose. Try this quick experiment. Whichever side of your nose you have problems with, pinch your cheek about halfway up your nose vertically aligned with the middle of your eye and lift up and out so that you are lifting your nose cartilage outward. Do you noticed you can breathe much easier when you do this? If so, you have a collapsed nasal valve.

Purchased the lip trainer, arrived 3 days ago and have been using it 3-4 times daily. Much to my surprise I've noticed a huge difference in the draining of my sinuses. I honestly can't believe it works this quickly. I haven't snored since the first day I used it and am no longer breathing through my mouth when I sleep. In combination with the lip trainer and rinsing my sinuses with distilled water and plain table salt the horrible smell is actually gone. My sinuses are draining where they're suppose to. I've always been afraid of using regular table salt so for the last five years I've used everything in the drug stores. I would never use tap water so good old salt and distelled water plus the lip trainer has done the trick. Unbelievable!!!!!! Thanks

I am really happy to hear the Lip Trainer is helping your problem. The Lip Trainer has so many benefits, besides sinus and breath problems. More people need to be aware of its powers! Just make sure to continue to use it indefinitely and work your way up to the Blue Trainer. I have been using the blue one for a few months and I have noticed even more positive things in my health. My entire face shakes while using it because it's so much stiffer than the brown trainer. Facial muscles contribute so much to your health. Keep us posted on your progress.

Hello, would like to know where to purchase a neti pot. I live in the USA.

    Thanks.

Any drugstore will have them. Walgreens and CVS both have them here in Texas. Remember to only use distilled water (NOT TAP), salt (celtic salt is best), and a little bit of baking soda. Nothing else.

I'm in Canada and I can get one at pharmacies or health food store. We don't have Walgreens here but they probably have them. Call around many places carry them now.

i would stay away from the baking soda as I have found if you should swallow some it will nutrilize your stomach acid and you'll be bloated beyond belief. after using the mixture in store bought rinses I found distilled water and plain table salt works best. wait til your solution is barely warm and rinse. if it burns add a little more salt and mix well. good luck.
