Breath smells like faeces (Poo)

Posted , 379 users are following.

I have this horrid poo smell from my mouth. I brush my teeth twice a day, floss, use Dentyl PH mouthwash, I have the best oral hygeine of anyone I know but I still have this smell. I am too embarrassed to even ask my flriends or family to tell me my breath stinks. I am becoming totally reclusive because of it. Id rather go to my GP and tell him ive got an STD. I know ive got it coz sometimes people look around and ask if ive farted, and I see people with babies smelling their nappies when I speak. It really is starting to badly affect my life but I just cant pluck up the courage ot go to my GP. How on earht can i ay \"DR, My breath smells like poo!\" Please, if anyone has any tips let me know.

Hi I haven't responded in a while i guess this problem with body odor and BV can be debilitating . Well I think I have found the solution to our problem. A lack of fiber which can lead to inflammation in the body. I had a colonoscopy and my dr said I have inflammation in by stomach. Please google how a lack of fiber can affect the body and you will be amazed . Also ibuprofen will help with the inflammation. Please let me know you try this and what your results are. Also eliminate a lot or refined sugars Good luck!!!

Well yes along with peroxide I brush my tongue and the back of my throat with peroxide allow it to sit on your tongue then spit it out and repeat until you don't see as much foam . You may have to do it three or four times . In my case the inflammation caused partially by lack of fiber and consuming too much sugar is all the way up to my throat so this cause a lot of thick mucus even inthe nasal passages and you probably don't realize it is there , because it is so thick it clings . When you use the peroxide open your mouth over the sink and move the back of your tongue near the throat to loosen it up and blow your nose several times . Do this until the mucus starts to thin out then rinse with cold water and use a tongue scraper before u brush with the peroxide after u rinse your tongue should be much cleaner. I also thought it was thrush but it is inflammation.

I read an article on a site called experience life about fiber very interesting, because it explains how toxins get in the blood . I noticed you mentioned about licking the back of your hand and let it dry but it doesn't smell well that's why. But read the article and you will have a better understanding about the importance of fiber

1 big boy1234 hi...kindly check your sinus .I have told to do CT scan of my sinus .let's see what happened

Not sure what else to do. I tested & it's not fungal in my throat our in blood.

I've had my tonsils & lymph nodes swollen over a year.

Peridontist tells me teeth are fine except for molars.

I just gargled w apple cider this morning but still this. ..

I finished probiotics but going to buy new ones.

I have little of acid reflux but not enough to take meds. Wonder if that is causing the odor: swollen tonsils but no tonsil stones, & my IBS .

I touched w q tip & smelled it the odor was horrible. It's not my saliva. Where it's this coming from? I hope we all get answers soon.

II believe it's a bacteria that lives in the mouth. There are a lot of foods that can triggers the bacteria that causes bad breath. There are some post in here a while back how to kill this bacteria.

Hi Mj. I agree with you, I don't think in my case the smell comes from the gut and I got my tonsils removed thinking it would cure my bb. I was 33 years old when I got them removed and was devastated when it didn't make any difference.

Have you had any improvements with your bb since we last spoke?

Hi MJ, I gargle in the morning w apple cider vinegar, mix w water. That had helps reduce my tonsils. I drink a little before breakfast. Helps reduce the little acid reflux. My tongue is moist.

I also picked up better probiotics, digestive enzymes, drink aloe Vera, fiber w water when I wake up, another powder that reduces the acid in my stomach.

I have a tiny hernia in my diaphragm & acid gets stuck there. That's why at times this rotten odor comes up.

Also drinking water & eating on time. This stops the stomach acid from coming up. Don't eat diary or anything w sugar while you want to fix this.

It till me a year to see docs & nutritionist to find a cause of this.

I'm still waiting for results but so far drinking these things has helped regulate my stomach causing the odor in my case n

always follow up w docs. Find new ones when they don't help like in my case.

I'm glad I'm persistent to understand why this is happening.

I am getting a temporary relief from gargling with Tea tree oil twice a day. I also take clorophyl, enzyme and L glutamine. This will help a lot as long as you do not eat the food that triggers your BB.

I'm torn between if it's bacteria in my mouth or my gut. I haven't always had bb and for bacteria all of a sudden appear in my mouth? Also, my spit doesn't smell. I would assume if my mouth was nasty from bacteria, that my spot would have an odor. I tend to lean more towards my gut because, I've developed rashes on my arms that come and go, persistent dry mouth and white tongue. I think maybe all my stress has compromised my gut..still not sure. Oh yeah, almost forgot, I've had excessive gas..so I'm trying Manuka honey right now..I've heard great things about it..

You can learn more about the gut problem and what pills to take to cure the gut! I wasn't Sure if I have a gut problem but I was desperate to cure my BB and bought all the pills to cure the gut. That did not help.

I'm pretty sure that we're dealing with a live bacteria that lives in the mouth. If I can only find a product to completely kill the bacteria!

Another lady is researching about this also. Will let you know if we have a new solution.

Try haggling with acne solution. I was told that will help kill the bacteria. Acne solution is cheap so it worth trying.

I've been taking supplements for my gut for awhile now, I don't think these things sort themselves out very quickly. You can't try something for a month or two and quit if you don't see immediate results. Supplements are half the process..healthy strict diet is key as well. Actually, I would like to add your mental health..this is something I struggle with. I tend to get stressed and filled with anxiety and it dries my mouth out more. So, try to relax..I've started to meditate again. I remember when I did meditate in the past I never got comments and I asked this girl I used to "see" back during that time and she told me she never smelt any bb, so I need to relax!

      Acne solution? Like what type?

Unfortunate I cannot post the name of the product on here. But it's pretty cheap and you can buy them at any drugstore store like Walgreens or Walmart.

Yes stress can dries your mouth. I use biotene for that.

I tend to get stress about my BB when I go on a date. 🙊.

You don't have to say the brand, if you want you can pm me, but I was asking more about what kind. Like, spot treatment, face wash..etc which seems strange to use acne med in your mouth. Thsnks

Anaerobic bacteria and I think oxygen kills it, but it's hard for some reason to get oxygen to the bacteria, which seems strange seeing how we breathe it in through the mouth..haha
