Breath smells like POOP HELP! Depression

Hi,

I am dealing with an on-going issue. I have been suffering from bad breath since I was 7 years old, I’m 19 now. I have went to the dentist, doctors & even got my tonsils removed they said nothing was wrong. I know I have bad breath from everyone’s reaction around me. I hear people say bad things about my smell. They cover their nose while I’m talking or hold their breath or even walk away in the middle of a conversation. They can smell it without me talking. Gum doesn’t do anything, I feel like it just makes it worst I need serious help. I am so depressed I don’t think I’ll ever be happy if I can’t cure this B.B. of mines.

    Hi Chelsea88651,

Although I don’t have an answer to this problem, I have gone through the exact same thing and I’m nearly 40. The problem is finding a professional that understands how bacteria work in our mouths, airways and digestive systems, and also believe this is a very real problem.

What I do want to say is that despite my room filling bb, I have still been married and had kids. My point is don’t believe this can’t happen to you too as there are people out there that take you as you are. Just believe in all your other good qualities whilst you continue to try and find answers to help this problem.

I am currently having attention to my nasal airways by an ENT specialist. I doubt it will work but need to try.

I want my tonsils out because I know they stink, but appreciate that might not cure the problem.

Another thing is please realise you’re not alone and you have to accept you can’t change things until you have the knowledge to do so. I hope this helps you to still have the fulfilling life you deserve, without allowing this issue to dominate your life.

I think this has to do with your digestive system. Similar to burps, sometimes, the breath could have an atrocious smell but that would not correlate to your dental care but maybe how your digestive system reacts and the gases it produced.

I have to agree with Mianicole. It doesn't sound like a oral problem. It sounds like a GI issue. Therefore I suggest you see a gastroenteritis about this.

    Hello Chelsea88651,

I know what it's like and what your going through.Because I've had for a few years as well..I've spent so much money on products that don't work.I got tested and I came out positive for Hpylori and it does cause bad breath, digestive disorders as well as bad body order..I brush and bathe 3X a day..consistently changing my clothes and still smell..I've begun to change my diet to vegetables teas no coffee or dairy..I'am taking turmeric, mastic gum morning and night..probiotics 3 billion...I drink a lot of water and cranberry juice..my doctor put me on antibiotics 3 different kinds and a ppi..didn't work..tried it again didn't work again..so now I'am doing what I mentioned earlier...keeping my fingers crossed and saying a prayer! Hun you are not alone.I know it seems like it but stay positive and reach out..there has to be a cure for what we are experiencing....

Virginia first let me say that I am so sorry that you have to deal with this. I can not even imagine the embarrassment, frustration and what all else you go through because of this condition. So I just was wondering if you aren't making matters worse by taking so many showers. Sometimes over doing something can make the body over compensate and like in your case, produce more of the smell. Just a thought. I hope that you are able to find a solution soon.
