Breathing problems

Does anyone else suffer with bad shortness of breath when their levels are low?

The past few weeks my breathing is getting worse! I'm usually a fairly fit person but lately I cant even go up a flight of stairs without panting. Even when i'm just sat down doing nothing at all i feel like i just cant catch a good breath!

I'm due to see the GP next week but don't know if i can wait that long to breathe like a normal person again. Does anyone else suffer with bad shortness of breath? What do you do help? cry

    Hi

Sorry to hear that, but unfortunately it can happen.

To me is one of the signals my body gives to say its low in Iron.

I normally have to lay down for a coulle of hours to help it return to normal or better at least.

Try to rest, give deep breaths and wait until it starts slowing.

If you get stressed or anxious it will take longer.

And also try not to make rapid movements or anything that is harder.

Make smalls breaks duting the day to rest.

I know how its like and is not nice, specially having two kids with me.

    Hope you feel better soon.

    Regards

Yes!  I had shortness of breath when I was battling Anemia which took my Hemoglobin down low.  My Iron levels were low too.  I hope you GP recommends a CBC blood test for you.  Take it easy!

I've got it, CBC is complete blood count same as FBC, as I know it, full blood count.

Unfortunately, yes, I lived on the 3rd floor for awhile. I swear by Floor 2, I felt like I was on Floor 22. My muscles ached, every time I would need to pause numerous times going up, and very winded.
