I have had ekgs, bloodwork, xrays, tests on my heart, breathing test and everything was fine. But i dont feel fine, I just want to get back on track go to school, work and do the normal things i used to do but the last 3 months have been a nightmare and im so sick of it, i just got prescribed zoloft but im worried its not gonna work if anyone has gone through the same thing and found a medicine that worked please let me know thank you.

so everybody responds to the medication’s differently. It’s pretty much trial and error. But it does take 4 to 6 weeks for any of the anxiety and depression medication to kick in.you can start the Zoloft and after a few weeks see how you feel. The doctor can always change your prescription to something else if needed. But you have to start somewhere.
docs don’t usually like to prescribe the benzodiazepines such as Xanax because they can be addictive.
there is help for the out of breath feeling and the racing heart. those are due to the adrenaline that is released with anxiety. It is not harmful but I know how annoying it can feel. In order to reduce the heart rate and breathing easier, it’s really important to know how to do that. It’s all in proper breathing
. If you go on YouTube you can search for " emergency panic relief."
! Scroll down and look for something called don’t panic. It’s in black bold letters.
Get comfortable and listen and you will find that your heart rate will be lowered and you will be breathing easier.
There are hundreds of other meditations for anxiety on there also.
