Breathless doing house work?

Hi,
For the past few months, I feel so breathless when doing simple house work, like making the bed or doing the dishes. I'm not breathing any harder, just feel breathless. When I try to take a deep breath to help with this, it takes a lot of effort. A lot of those breaths get stuck half way and doesn't reach my lungs, making me feel suffocated. My family doc has given me asthma inhalers and acid reflux meds, which didn't help. She has listened to my lungs, and said they sound clear. Haven't got any other tests done - would be a long wait for most other tests any way.
I have very low stress in my life. These symptoms did start after a random panic attack few months ago, but I don't really feel panic or stress anymore. I am 36, with no other medical condition, and before this happened, was healthy and fit. Now i go for 1 hour walks almost everyday, but can't really do cardio exercise due to my breathing.
Anyone else feel breathless from doing very minimal exertion? And take a lot of effort to inhale - this can be almost all day long. It's very frustrating. Can it be anxiety? Please help! Thanks!

yes it does sound like anxiety to me. I have felt the same way with my anxiety. Sometimes we have an underlying anxiety that we don’t really notice but it’s still there. Remember that anxiety takes a toll on the body and zaps a lot of energy. So even doing simple tasks can be even more difficult. I do notice a pattern of this .
I started doing some exercises for core strength which was very helpful because I got so tired of feeling weak in doing simple things like even vacuuming or carrying groceries in etc. I thought to myself this is ridiculous so when I do work out a little bit, it makes a big difference for me. I think of it is giving back to my body what anxiety and stress takes away.and yes at first the exercises were difficult because of how I was feeling but I keep trying to press forward and not make any excuses. Anyway just thought I would share that with you.
