Breathless. Need help and opinions ASAP

Hi everyone. I'm only 24 and the last few days I've had breathlessness 24 hours of the day. Ive been to see a doctor that prescribed me amoxicillin and a nasal spray for a suspected chest infection but I don't think it is one. My oxygen levels are fine and my heart and lungs sound fine, however, at least once a day I get a sort of 'attack' where I get extremely breathless, pale, fatigued, stressed, shaky and panic filled. Usually after that I am extremely tired for the rest of the day.
I cant tell if this is anxiety induced, if I have a chest infection, or if I have something like Covid as they didn't test me when I went to the hospital to be checked over.
I have been taking the medication regardless of what I think. But it's just scary as I have had chest infections before and its not ever made me feel like this. I've had anxiety, panic, depression etc in the past but can anxiety really make you feel breathless like you can't ever get a full breath?
Can anyone shed some light, anyone get this with anxiety? Or alternatively had this with a chest infection?
Any advice, help or experience is appreciated 😁😁

I'm going through the same thing.. it comes and goes so I was feeling breathless, like I just couldn't catch my breath or had to keep taking deep breaths. it did worry me but it went away.. then I had it again last week.. then I realised it disappeared again, now I've had it again for the last 48hours, it gets worse the more I focus on it but its hard not to.. however as scary as it is and I'm always convinced something is wrong with me because I have terrible health anxiety, it does seem to happen after I've been scared about something or anxious. I also feel sick with it, bloated, lightheaded and chest pains. I've had lots of checks previously and apparently I'm healthy.

Sounds alot like me 😔 I do find it's worse when I concentrate on it as opposed to taking my mind off it, but like you said it's hard to take your mind off it when it's there.
I have really bad health anxiety too. I can't handle it. I do know I was anxious about a pain I was having down my ribs the couple of days before this breathlessness started. Maybe it's been brought on by that

That's horrible having it for such a long time. Do you get any other symptoms with it or is it just the constant breathlessness?

I know googling is the worst thing to do, but search up hyperventilation syndrome, its very common in people with chronic anxiety. I've had 100 symptoms with my anxiety and always convinced something has been missed or there is something wrong with me but how can multiple tests and multiple doctors all be wrong. that's not possible is it, it's hard x

Pretty constant and and exercise seems to make it worse when i start breathing hard but my heart and lungs are fine i dont have asthma or anything it comes and goes but is a 24-7 thing for me i would like to think its anxiety as i do believe i am a hypochondriac now always searching my symptoms but in my mind and body i just feel like something is wrong i also have always been kind of claustraphobic but at this point it affects my every day life i can barely make it through work and am always scared to death about it its pretty sad 3 years ago i didnt have a care in the world laid back as can be i didnt know what anxiety was and used to laugh about it and didnt really believe in it
