Yes Mandy, I think you should. It could be a reaction to medications, anxiety or something unrelated to the Fibro. Just as well to get it checked out rather than keep guessing and worrying.

Hi mandy, breathlessness was one of my very first symptoms and still happens now from time to time. my doctor did a lung function test to rule out other possibilities but it came back as normal, you should ask for one too if you are worried, it's dfinitely worth mentioning to your gp, but it is one of many fibro symptoms.

    Hello Mandy,

I am breathless, but also have unstable angina so put mine down to this rather than the Fibro.  To be honest, I go along with the other 2 people who have answered you and reckon you should definitely mention it to your GP, at least then they can check it out.  x

Yes, tell your doctor Mandy.  I experienced the same thing and found out I have moderate asthma along with some seasonal allergies. There are meds to help both.  But you should see your doctor as soon as possible.

Yes Mandy; the description of "someone sitting on your chest" is not the chest pain that is normally dscribed.........so a visit to an ED or GP is a very good idea..............let us know what the answer is, please?........Bron

I had breathlessness (after being diagnosed with fribro)  I thought it was my heart, so I went to see a cardiologist & the heart checked out fine., but then the tired ness continued & next routine doc. appt. they said my thyroid levels were low, & i've been on medicaiton since for it.  So you might want to get your thyroid levels checked.
