Broken ankle, torn deltoid ligament. Will I need surgery?

Posted , 2 users are following.

I broke my ankle and tore my deltoid ligament exactly 3 weeks ago. The ankle break is on the lower part of the fibula bone. I was just told to use a walking boot, no crutches or scooter. I went for a check up a few days ago and they said that the bone shifted, but not enough to require surgery yet, they want no weight bearing for 3 weeks, I am using crutches and a scooter now. What are the odds that it will go back in place? I am really concerned about having to have surgery because I have absolutely no one to help me. I have been having a lot of muscle spasms right above and below the knee lately, not sure if that is normal.
