Broken ankle with a screw

My granddaughter broke a piece of her tibia off in her ankle about the size of the tip of your pinky finger and they put a screw in to connect it back to the Bone. She has been in a cast for 3 weeks now when we go to the doctor this Thursday and they're going to remove the cast and put her in a walking boot she has walked on it some and it does not hurt will she need physical therapy? She broke it playing softball and softball starting the first week in August so wondering if she can play?

More than likely not, as she should concentrate on healing properly, especially since this is something that could potentially effect her for the rest of her life . The good news is she’s young and if taken care of properly, she should be fine.
