    Hi Kingsley....

So sorry for your pain and worry.

I had a bad sprain a year ago. Grade 3 so was told. Turns out after a year of pain and thinking .. "In time this will improve" it never did.  Be careful starting a new job with out getting some go ahead by a specialist. I worked retail management and sadly to say I lost my job because I just couldn't do it any longer.  At home its easy to say that we feel better because we have a chair to sit in if we need it.

My advice to you is to go ahead and get a specialist. They *he/she* may do an MRI . That is what I had to ask for after almost 8 months.

If your healing properly that is great news!

And if not, go ahead and take the action you need to get well.

    Good luck!

If I'm counting right, that's only four weeks out from your injury, so that's a pretty aggressive target. Even without surgery that's a fast goal. I was walking in my boot and free of crutches by 4.5 weeks, but I have a stable fibula fracture that didn't require surgery. If your new job requires you to be on your feet all day I would anticipate needing to delay your start (or have changes at your workplace to accommodate for your injury - I've been working from home while injured).
