Broken fibula. Doea it look like surgery is needed?

I broke my fibula on tues and have since been in extreme pain. I was given a boot by the er and was told to follow up with orthopedic surgeon for cast or possibly surgery but my appt isnt for another 10 days. Does it look like it will need surgery? http://imgur.com/a/3ZRdt

    10 days. Wow that's a long time. I was annoyed waiting 6 days. I'd go see my gp.

    I waited 9 days before my surgery. Plates and screws both side of ankle. Yours sounds good as you have been put in a boot. I was in a plaster cast and wasn't even able to get out of bed even for the loo!! Let's hope it's good news at your next appointment. Good luck. Sx

    I have a bimalleolar fracture of the ankle. Broke 2 bones 7-17-17 At ER I was also put in boot . I saw the Orthopedic surgeon after a couple of days , I needed surgery but wasn't sure weather I would or not till I met with them . I got surgery 7-27 -17 . I would look it up on the Internet. Sometimes people don't require surgery depends on the break .
