    Hi ANITA,

I had a break very much like you described when i took a bad fall 20 months ago. I doubt I will ever wear heels again but I can wear a wedge type shoe and 1.5 inch heel boots. Blondo boots were the best boots to support my ankle and that small heel helped me walk a little better as well.

These breaks are just awful and it takes a lot of time, physical therapy and determination to return to normal. I still struggle with uneven ground and since I'm 56 with other health issues I don't know if i will be able to walk like I used to but I can walk and do pretty much what I want.

    Wishing you a great recovery!

hi anita! i know my injury is a little different but i broke my fibula right near my ankle the last week of October and have been wearing heels for about a month now! I have a plate and seven screws that goes from about 1/4 above my ankle to right below the ankle bone. I have heard the tibia can be a little more difficult to manage but just thought I'd share my experience! Good luck!!
