Broken wrist

I broke both bones in my wrist a year and a half ago. I have a plate and screws in it and it has healed nicely......problem is l get muscle spasms now in my fingers that continue up my arm and are quite painful. When l get these spasms or muscle cramps y finger closest to my thumb and the one next to my baby finger get distorted and l can't use my hand until the cramp or spasms stops......

Does anyone know what this is from or has anyone else experienced this...l have been the a nerve specialist and my tests are normal. I am so frustrated and tired of this happening and not knowing why. HELP

    Soak your hand in Epsom Salt.

      Have tried that, done physio and acupuncture aND none of that works.

    I am stumped, I fell and first set of x-rays taken doctors said I had a fracture in my wrist. I went Hand Specialist and from day one with him, he says it's a Arthritic Episode but it hasn't gotten any better. I've had Cortisone injection and it seems like it has gotten progressively worse, it feels worse than when it first happened and I have pain that runs around the wrist and up the arm, down into my fingers and still says just Arthritis. I don't understand but I'm waiting on second opinion, have to wait it's worker's comp, should get to go sometime this week. I hope they figure out what's going on with you. Maybe you should get second opinion or 3rd opinion, doctors are only human they make mistakes just like we do...

      I feel your pain and l have another referral to see the original surgeon whenever that happens. I am sure l will be told the same as you and l will then request another opinion because it just keeps getting worse. If l find an answer l will post it, l hope you get answers soon.

    Sweens, I went to a Neurologist yesterday, that the specialist wanted me to see, he did a EMG or Nerve Conduction Study and he ruled out Carpel Tunnel which the Ortho doctor wanted to see if I had, but he said it looked like the nerve that runs on the outside of your elbow that hurts when you hit what everyone calls your funny bone and he said I had slightly damaged it but for the way my hand hurts he said muscles and bones would have to be looked at for that. I got an email from my Workers Comp Case Worker also yesterday and she said that he doctors office that I request a second opinion on finally called back and she scheduled me an appt. The first on they had is November 9th unless someone cancels and then it would be sooner, not soon enough for me I'm tired of this other doc playing the guessing games I'm hurting and I want answers, you know what I mean, I know you do. I will keep posting what I find out and you do the same. I hope things get better for you and they figure out what's causing the problems.
