    Hi Julia,

I have been using Spiriva for the last couple of years and it has helped reduce infections and made breathing easier. It seems to do this by drying up the mucus on the lungs. So I would recommend it.

    Best wishes

Hi Julia, John seems to be a good source of recomendation for you. Hope it helps you if you decide to try it. I will ask my doctor about it. I like the idea of fewer infections.

I've not used spiriva I use fostair and used to use qvar these inhalers are both brilliant but doctors tend to use others first as they are cheaper. If the inhaler doesn't help much go back to the docs and trial another one. Keep going until you find one that's effective.

    Good luck

Yes, I've used spiriva for about the last 5 or 6 years along with Seretide, which was recently changed to Onbrez, both appear to work well & I rarely need the use of ventolin
