My wife has this "bruise" near her knee for 1 month , it started small and grew this big.
any idea what it could be ? she has a dermatology appointment in 2 weeks.
Her mom passed away for a blood clot to her lung , could it be about blood issues?

Does it feel warm to touch? Look up symptoms of deep vein thrombosis particularly if there are PEs in the family. Also if it is a blood clotting issue she needs to see a heamatologist not a dermatologist. If you are worried it may be a DVT you should seek immediate medical help.
