Bruised after hemorrhoidectomy

im now on day 4 and have a constant dull ache pressure feeling in my bum. the pain is managable as i am taking my pain meds every 4-6 hours. when i have a bm i just have a sitz bath and try not to scream as the pain is intense.

i had a look down there it doesnt appear i have any stitches however all around my bottom and bum cheeks is black and blue bruising anyone else notice this?

    i too was black and blue post op but soon cleared up but continued to feel bruised and swollen for about two weeks

    keep going on the hot baths

      wondering how long did it take to totally heal after surgery or do we ever heal completely its by 8 weeks for me tissue is still healing ever so slowly? it appears to be reabsorbing slowly surgeon wouldnt say how long it can take wondering if they know? i had anal skin tags removed and cauterized is this what you had done?

      first i had tags removed and was just swollen no bruising

      but when i had 3 large haemorroidectomy the bruising was epic

      they probably dont know and never had it done so go off text book comments haha

      ok first i had 2nd column hemrroidectomy done no bruising and then had anal skin tag removal horrible bruising on while ares took 3 to 4 weeks to look better still waiting to see if all the tissue that was excised and cauterized will totally heal without any scarring and evidence of extra skin
