Constantly getting unexplained bruises tiggers! Look like a Dalmatian at times! 3 new ones have appeared over night, two on one leg one on my arm- no idea how?

I have always bruised easily so I tend not to worry, but if you are worried have a word with your GP just to put your mind at rest. Gentle hugs x

I have just read a check list of symptoms of fibro from a fibromyalgia expert and bruising is a symptom. but for your own peace of mind you could have a chat to your gp about it. just in case it could be something else. Im putting mine down to fibro. take care gentle hugs

Hi tiggers1. I get quite a lot of bruises. Like you some that can be explained and others that can't.

I have 3 on my legs that appeared and seem to be getting bigger.

I had it explained by a doctor as being due to medications I was taking, not anymore but still getting the bruises.

If you are worried about them speak to your GP who may be able to put your mind at ease that it isn't anything more serious.

    Take care and gentle hugs

Hello...  Yes I also get weird bruises, I bruise easily.  Mostly I have absolutely no idea how they come to be..  I have some very strange other Red areas on my shins.  Quite a number on my right leg, and have  begun getting them on my left leg.  They are quite ugly and they have lumps underneath the Red skin.  It's not psorisiss.  Both a GP and a Specialist have looked at them and neither have been able to identify what they are.  It is something to do with the blood vessels, but are not anything to do with varicose veins.  Just a bit of a mystery at this stage.

Hi Tiggers1, I don't get bruises but I always have the pain of having been given dead legs in both thighs and carves, sometimes in my arms, I find walking bad enough without these pains, but do you know what I find the worst about this crappy illness, it's not fatal, 7 years i'v had this, don't think I can do another 30 years, it's like we are suffering from a very slow death, i'm 51, I really don't want to see 52, if it wasn't for the fact that I have custody of my 2 youngest daughters, I wouldn't of seen 50. Well now that I have cheered everyone up, I hope you all have a good Sunday and have a pain free day.

Hi Trev1264 This a horrid condition to have a very hard condition to handle. with constant pain many symptoms it throws at us fibro affects every part of our body from top to toe. I said exactley what you said to my husband on sat morning, I feel as though Im dieing a slow death. I know only too well how hard it is how it takes our every strength to just get through each day. You have everything to live for in your 2 daughters. They would want their dad to be around to see them grow up go to uni to walk them down the aisle become a grandad. your focus is your daughters they would be lost heart broken with out you. take each day as it comes, stress worry dont help our condition if we can stay calm positive try not to stress worry it helps all easier said than done at times to do. on here you can talk to people that understand and who are going through and feeling the same as you do. your never alone on here take care

Hi Trev, yep it is a crappy illness, but hey what can we do about it. My counsellor tells me concentrate on the good aspects in my life. Do you have anyone to talk to and maybe have a laugh with, believe me it is better than crying, I have tried both. Thank goodness for this forum and all the amazing people on it, it makes one feel less isolated. 🐬

OMG:  This is too weird..I was going to ask my Dr. this month what is causing all these bruses...It looks like I've been in a dog fight...I also have a lot of brown spots that look like age spots...could be from the sun, I guess, but the bruises are disgusting and hard to explain to people why I look beaten up...

Perhaps as everyone is in pain everyone is taking more medication than they used to and a lot of meds thin your blood. Ibroprufen or aspirin thins blood a lot as do other prescribed medications.

I think you wouldn't need to hit yourself hard to get a bruise if your taking meds which thin blood and with the brainfog you can't remember doing it!

You should always get new symptoms checked out.

My mums on warfarin which is a blood thinner and she is covered in bruises and cuts all the time. She looks like her husband beats her when actually the dog just nudged her hard. If she bashes her leg hard on a table it looks like she's had a car run over her.
