Bubbling/popping sensation in left ear. I am losing my mind.

Hi all, I wanted to check whether anyone have been experiencing the same symptoms as I have. In the last 6-7 months, my left ear has been making this bubbling/popping sensation - especially when laying down. The sensation feels like fireworks going off in the far distance and has no rhythm to it other than it being constant. I also occasionally have a sharp pain in the same ear but it usually only last a few seconds. I have gone to the GP who said everything looks fine and to come back if it gets worst (so useless). I feel like I'm losing my mind here!

    Your GP has said to go back so do just that. You may need a referral to an ENT clinic.
